Old Bull Trying to Run with the Young Calves

Hello everyone,

I suppose I should start off with an introduction of sorts. My date of birth is 01/16/18, making me 91 years old. I will be 92 years old this coming January.

I have always been interested in physical fitness. Back in my military days (WWII vet), I would never refuse a challenge to a sparring match with another soldier, regardless of his size, speed, or skill. I gathered a reputation for maybe not being the most technical boxer, but one that could hit like a Mack truck.

My reputation eventually became my attitude towards life: hit it with everything that you have. That is part of the reason why I am here: to pursue a physical fitness level that people of my age could only dream about.

Obviously, due to my age and my debilitated joints, I am limited to mostly machines for both resistance and cardiovascular training. However, my spirit is still strong.

I will occasionally add in war memories to my journal, in between my exercise sessions. It is my hope that these anecdotes and provide some entertainment but also display some of the horror is war.

Regards,

Welcome to the Family! I certainly look forward to following your log and progress, including your experiences. This is the inspiration our generation needs! If someone of your age (no offense intended) can do this, than someone much younger has no excuse to be lazy, and lay around all day!

Best of Luck!

What branch of service were you in? I invited you to the War Room, which is an area for military veterans.

Welcome, sir ~

Renee
