Old Anavar Help

Hey have some anavar that is very old. maybe 5 years or more. so old that i cant even remember what dosage it is. cant find any pics of it on the internet. They are little shiny capsules that are very bright yellow. 2 questions.

  1. does anyone know the dosage of these?

  2. I realize they might not be as effective anymore but can i get sick from expired anavar?

Oxandrolone is very stable chemically and so the date should not be a problem.

It’s not terribly effective by itself. 20 mg/day which works out to only 140 mg/week might be called “bridge” dose; 40 mg/day which still works out to only 280 mg/week is I think weak; 75 mg/day is not very strong.

Results will be far better if adding Dianabol or oxymetholone.

Or if by dosage you’re asking how many mg these are, I don’t know, but most likely 2.5 mg. Tablets of 2.0 mg also existed. So far as I know, pharmaceutical oxandrolone wasn’t produced in higher doses till BTG came out with Oxandrin, though I can’t swear to it: if so it was unusual. If it’s a black-market product then I suppose any dosage is possible, both higher and lower. Tabs of 5 mg have been common.

Thanks a lot Bill.

Sure thing!

By the way, if you have a balance capable of weighing small amounts, you could determine the dosing by dissolving the tablets in acetone – I don’t remember how much I’ve used for this kind of purpose, but 1 mL per expected 10 mg would be plenty – and then after filtering out the remaining solid, which is the filler, allowing the acetone to dry and then weighing the resulting powder.

It can then be dissolved in oil or high-proof alcohol for usage.

Also btw this can be a good way of detecting zero-dosed counterfeits, as ordinarily about nothing will go into the acetone with them.

very very interesting information!

does anavar have any side effects?

The side effects are identical in nature to any other anabolic steroid except not including conversion to estrogen nor being anywhere as bad on the skin (in terms of acne or oiliness) as testosterone. Plus having the liver toxicity of the 17-methyl group, which injectables do not have. (Do not believe reports that oxandrolone allegedly has no liver effects; it’s thoroughly proven to do so.)

The amount of a side effect is not necessarily the same for an equally-effective dose between two different steroids though. So for example it might be the case that for someone subject to male-pattern baldness, oxandrolone might maybe do less harm for a given amount of gains than some other synthetics and certainly testosterone; but it’s hard to say for a fact relative to the other synthetics.

Pharmacologically, there’s just no magic way that the androgen receptor can be activated while giving different effects. Anything that activates it is going to have the same outcome, just a question of degree and a question of whether other effects come into play also much or not. Oxandrolone works pricipally at the androgen receptor, so ultimately all side effects caused that way happen with it.

nice, thanks bro
