Thanks everyone, I have been really busy with work, lifting, and moving my girlfriend to her new appartment, I never get time to go on here, but hopefully I will soon! I have been lifting, don’t worry. Almost snatched 95 last week, and got some jerk PRs! Very exciting.

Alec, nice lifts! We are almost the same numbers, I think.

I do need to take less time, its a problem. This was after max snatch attempts and severa max clean and jerk attempts, but I need to work on being faster in the transition.

Thanks bro. I’m 95/125 currently. But I’m soooo close to making PR’s on both lifts.

Congrats on the C+J by the way. I might take a crack at that tomorrow.

Cut the squatting light today as I was passing out big style on every rep after 100 for some reason.

  1. Snatch - heavy single - 225 lbs; 90% x 1 x 2 - 205 lbs

  2. Snatch pulls - 3RM - 265 lbs; 90% x 3 x 2 - 240 lbs

  3. Snatch pull from blocks (mid-thigh) - 3RM - 345 lbs; 90% x 3 x 2 - 310 lbs

4a) Vertical jumps from squat position - 4 x 5 reps
4b) Chinese DB Rows - 4 x 10 reps - 80 lbs

*** My snatch technique, even on the snatch pulls, was all sorts of off today. And then I started thinking too much… damnit. always a bad sign. Shit, even the snatch pull from blocks were crap. damnit!

back in top shape it seems. Training is going strong, big comp next week. Last heavy day before the comp. Snatched my PR (102.5kg) and attempted 103.5kg 4 times, locked in each time but slight variances had my looping or falling forward. CJ’d up to 115kg, didn’t quite make my PR, but was quite burnt out from snatches. Still confident I have power for it. Back squatted up to 150kg

BW was 79.3kg

Going to snatch 105 and clean and jerk 125 at 77. Git Sum

my amazing news is that my knee is doing better. When I do bodyweight squats it feels really … solid… for lack of a better word.

what a shit couple of days.

yesterday i could barely get 85 over my head on the snatch, and the few times i did i couldn’t hold one. c+j wasn’t any better, heaviest weight made was 105. just had no power at all yesterday.

today everything was just out in front of me. missed 6 lifts at 90 and 93 on the snatch, all lost out front, 4 of which should have been made. hit 110 on the c+j, took a shot at 120 but way too out front to hold and same with 115.

also did fs today: 40x3, 60x3, 85x3, 110x2, 135x1, 145x1 to start the session
and 110x2, 135x1, 140x1, 135x1x1 to end it
this was the only decent thing ive done in the last 2 days.

we all have those days ape. the best thing to do is learn from it, and not get discouraged.

4b) Knees to ankles - 3x8

… time to use straps more often. the skin that burst open was actually under the callous, and there was like, a pool of blood forming under the skin, I guess from gripping too many heavy barbells… gay.

one of my callouses on my thumb turned into a blood blister the other day. hooked gripped a clean the next day and the blood exploded all over the barbell haha. now i just have raw skin though and it’s a pain in the ass to grip anything

yuck… yeah, blood blister that’s what it was. got blood all over my BB ;[

15 wide grip pull ups

Did a strongman comp on Saturday, felt smashed from it still. Came 2nd by 1 point so made it through to the finals on 1st October. It wasn’t fun cutting weight on Friday. I haven’t had to cut in about 3yr.
