When taking creatine is it ok to put in your shakes after you lift, or should you mix it into seperate water/juice etc…?
I know this has most likely been done to death, but if you don’t want take the 30 seconds out of your life to answer my question then why take 30 seconds to chastise me for not using the search function.

LOL.
The only issue I would have with doing that is it tastes like shit. When I took it, I preferred mixing it with OJ or Water and slamming it. I enjoy my protein, I don’t want to mess it up with nasty ass Creatine gritty poo taste.

Its best when taken with simple carbs and protein post-workout. The simple carbs causing an insulin spike in your blood. Increasing a cells uptake. Better absorption of all protein, carbs, creatine, and other nutrients. If worried about gritty tastes. Use micronized creatine, dissolves completely. In my opinion, it’s the best creatine out there. Avoid drinking it with water. Doing so might cause diarrhea. I hoped I helped you a little

thank you for this cornucopia of knowledge you have bestowed upon me. No really though thank you very helpful information. The post workout shake has pretty much no sugars…What would be a good simple carb to have pw?
It says “Mix one scoop in cold water that also contains one or more insulinogenic ingredients, such as essential amino acids, BCAA’s, whey isolate, or grape juice.”

mine actually says that plus water and minus bcaa’s, insulinogenic ingredients, eaa’s, and whey isolate. Hence my query.

Pop tarts, Cookies, gatorade, carb powders any of those are good. Carb intake p-w should be twice that of protein intake. So if you’re taking in 50g protein. Your carb intake should be 100g.

I though waxy maize had a rather depressing insulin raising ability, I know it has a rather low GI (When compared with dextrose). Does it raise insulin by other means?
WMS doesn’t use insulin to be absorbed, therefore wont have the same “shuttling” effect as the good old glucose/dextrose mix as far as logic tells me. I’m sure it’ll be found to be useful for something or other but I dont think it’s ideal PW.

I’m only talking about post-workout. I’m not saying, eat those foods all the time.
