Oh No, I Caught the Fat Germ

Oh I know it was a joke. I’m just saying, if they get to use this as an excuse for their own physical condition, I might as well use it as an excuse for things that are equally ridiculous.

And an island definitely won’t work. The only real solution, obviously, is to send them all to space, where they will weigh less.

I thought that you were objecting to separate drinking fountains.

Space sounds like a good idea.

Pigs in Space?

Because they might be able to treat for the virus at some point.

I always thought that fat cells didn’t multiply. How would the virus even inject the DNA into the fat cell? It wouldn’t be able to travel through all the fat.

My understanding is that fat cells do multiply once you get really fat. I’m not sure about how fat you need to get, but they can multiply.

I’m pretty sure that’s when you get really, really fat. Too fat for the people supposedly affected by this “virus”.

I checked, and usually, the fat cells just grow larger, but when someone becomes obese, then the fat cells multiply and grow larger.[/quote]

Bingo. Hyperplasia can/does take place after some significant fattening.

ugh I knew I wasn’t feeling well lately.
I’ve been missing workouts and eating junk. I thought my discipline was slipping, but evidently it’s not my fault at all!

That info has been twisted by a certain author on this site as if anyone who gains weight simply adds fat cells and ends up with loose skin. He actually wrote a hilarious (although I doubt he intended it to be) article on the subject which was apparently written to scare the shit out of anyone who ever gains a pound.

It is also believed that you are more prone to gain fat cells before puberty if the child is obese. This is much less likely in adults unless they literally blow up and become obese.

You are so anti-Chris Shugart its hilarious. Still, his articles really do try to scare you from gaining any weight at all.

Well, in my experience, fat people always look for a way to blame others, and an “easy way out”–pills, fad diets, etc. I know, 'cause I used to be one!!!

lol@ 120 being a low IQ

130 is genius or near-genius level.

120 would probaly be a typical validictorian IQ
