At least share what it’s about.

Someone asked me if now that I am an old woman if I have lower standards in regards to the men I will date. It irked me a bit.

Oh shit. Thems fightin words for sure. Seriously. I agree Ouro, the young ones think that we are so desperate to cling to ‘youth’ that we would nail any of them. They just don’t get it.

I get that shit with grades too. They think that if they flirt with me, that I will give them a higher grade because I’m ‘old’ and desperate for attention. Pfff

That’s funny!

Little do these youngins know that a man in his 40s and 50 are usually better lovers. They last longer and love to eat the kitty cat (know how to do it) and are not afraid to stick their tounge in the backdoor!

Damn
I LOVE GETTING OLDER

exactly. nothing scares or bothers them, and if they haven’t already tried/mastered it, they’re always willing to give something new a go.

I do think it was just a poorly worded question it just hit me wrong.

Nothing wrong with younger men, but I doubt if we would be wanting the same things at this time.

I have nothing against younger men. I take each person on their own merits. I’m not attracted to someone because of their age. To be fair however, when I was young, I though I was pretty stellar because I was young.

Tonight was upper body

warmed up on the ugly, nasty elliptical

Lat pulldowns
70lbs - x10
80lbs - x10
90lbs - x8
70lbs - x10

Cable rows
70lbs - x10
80lbs - x8
90lbs - x5
70lbs - x10

Incline DB flyes
25lbs - x10
30lbs - x10
40lbs - x2!!! (I just wondered if I could, just too heavy)
30lbs - x8

Floor DB bench press (this is still awkward for me)
30lbs - x6
35lbs - x6
40lbs - x4

Bridge - hold for 90 seconds x3

walking lunges, no weight

I think I need to do fewer reps and heavier weights.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I think I am stuck in thinking 10 or 8 of everything and 3 or 4 sets

I have been working on my shoulders and I am pretty happy as they used to be very weak. I had an AC seperation on my right shoulder last year that hurt like a sumbitch, but luckily seems to have recovered nicely.

tomorrow is my off day, but I am probably going to the driving range, or playing tennis if it doesn’t rain.

Shit yeah, you don’t HAVE birthdays, you EARN birthdays! If you are learning and growing more and more every year, you are becoming better and better. You couldn’t pay me to go back in time. Getting older rocks.

I really like that attitude. BIrthdays used to freak me out (yes, as a teenager) because I felt like “Oh, God, I’m already this old and I haven’t accomplished anything.” But these days I do feel like I’m “earning” my birthdays.

OG, I love the new thread name. Post a picture when you get your nunchuks.

I am stuck on the 8 reps also. Even when I only want to do 6, it’s a habit to go to 8. I think I need to be hypnotized.

I think I am going to try the 5x5 and up some weight and see how it goes on Tuesday

I found a couple of ninja pics

Not to pimp for Eric Cressey but a few of us have/are doing maximum strength and the rep ranges are mixed up. It’s a nice variety.

Look at Mark Rippetoe’s Starting Strength program, it’s your basic 5x5.

Oh yeah, stop avoiding the squat rack. You’re balance won’t improve if you don’t practice. So what if you fall on your ass a few times. Maybe some fine looking dude will offer to spot your squat. Then you can fall backwards on purpose.

I thought so too when I was your age.

The only thing good about my age is the senior discounts. Hell, I’d go back to being 45, or even 50 for free!

alright, alright Tuesday - squatting

instead of doing 3 sets of 8, up the poundage and do 8 sets of 3. you will frighten the young weaklings, and attract us more mature fellas who appreciate (worship) strength. if you dont like that idea, it will also make you stronger.
old lardass

I am diggin’ the new thread title.

No gym tonight. I did go to the driving range with some freaky folks from work. Ah the joys of being the only sober one in the group. But it was fun.

I am meeting with a friend of mine tomorrow and he will be disciplining my squat form tomorrow.

After that I have to sharpen my throwing stars and grappling claws
