Ohhhhh yea big daddi is in
Ok, I’m in.
Truth told, I have been somewhat apprehensive about this, am not really comfortable posting pics.
But I have come to appreciate and respect this t-nation community a lot - and if so many of you can do this, so can I.
As you can see, I am not exactly slim. I have been overweight for the majority of my life and have the past few year fluctuated between 113-115 kilos.
While I could benefit from loosing some weight, I am actually pretty ok with being on the heavy side - as long as I am also reasonably strong and reasonably fit.
I can certainly live very healthy and be much slimmer (and have done so in periods of my life), but as the years pile on, I have more or less concluded that there is more to life than looking good. And if one can’t enjoy the good stuff in life (craft beer in particular), what is it then all worth.
That said, taking these photos, make it kind of obvious that there are room for some improvement.
Body goals: Change my body composition: loose 5-10 kilos, while continuing to lift and hopefully add a little muscle and some strength.
(I have the weight loss thing down, but have never tried it while simultaneously lifting semi-seriously. Will be interesting for sure.)
Welcome aboard doomy! You got this!
In for change - it will at home bands only for a month til gyms maybe open up and then gym stuff.
Starting at 6 feet and 175 pounds
How tall are you hoping to be at the finish?
Seems like a really good turnout this year guys, looking forward to seeing how you all go.
@Chris_Colucci my entry is in my log.
Unfortunately, I have to bow out before it begins.
Some things have changed and I won’t be able to participate.
Sorry guys.
Still gonna hangin in there to see the development and results though.
In the bigger picture, I’ll be ok.
I won’t be able to give this the effort or attention it deserves though.
There’s some stuff in my log about it.
Comitting to this. Clearly I have work cut out for me. Will start a log soon.Starting weight 210.
@Chris_Colucci
If you call that a beer belly you need to drink more beer
Looking solid mate, great starting point
Good on ya mate. You have a great opportunity here to make a serious change. You have a good solid starting point with what looks like some good muscle under that fluff. Those who do best are the ones who get a solid plan, stick to it and work hard. Looking forward to seeing the change.
Good on you for having a go. What are the goals for this transform?
I’m in. I haven’t worked out since quarantine started but I just bought a decent bench and oly weight set and adjustable dumbells. I’ve got a baby on the way (May) and I’ve started a business but it’s time to get back under the iron.
I ended last year’s challenge around 174 (I thought I might get some votes, but oh well ) and I’ve been pretty steady around 180-182 since then but with the holidays and some sympathy baby weight I’m a very puffy 191 now. shouldn’t take long long to get back in shape though.
In! Took a long, disgusted look at myself in the mirror last night and realized I need to burn fat and I want to not be a hudge no mo’. I completed my fat photos with a grumpy, middle-aged scowl
Honestly, I appreciate this community and want to do my part keeping it lively and positive. My photos, I’m sure, will help lol.
5’11", around 207 pounds, 43 in seven weeks.
Yeah, I think I have actually added some muscle in 2020, so if I can continue that while loosing some weight, it will be great. Not sure about my plan yet.
Had thought about applying 5/3/1 to some of my main lifts, but on the other hand what I am doing right now seems to be working as I have progressed on almost everything in the past weeks. Also, if I understand it right, you needs to eat like you mean it when training 5/3/1 style, not sure if that is wise.
Depends on the template. There’s Prep and Fat Loss Training in Forever.
