Not a bad idea. I will think about doing something like that, I have a few go-to meals that would probably work for that.
But my real problem is snacks in the evening, and the copious amount of salt that comes with them.

Thereâs usually a pretty simple solution to these kinda problems called: cut them out.
(If youâre just trying to lose fat, Iâd worry more about the calories of those snacks and less about the salt though.)
Yeah, it is mainly the overall count I am focusing on. In any case, I donât have any specific goal of becoming super shredded or whatever, which is why (despite my lamentations) I havenât made the choice to simply drop the bad stuff.
Edit: changed âhaveâ to âhavenâtâ
They will limit muscle protein synthesis though.
Fixed that for you.
Agreed.
Haha, maybe. Iâm Italian and I donât do that, though ![]()
Aperitivo life.
I know. âTis a jest.
However, where I live, there are SO many Italians, and that is literally something Iâve seen before. My wifeâs uncle came over, said he was trying to lose some weight, proceeded to down 2 glasses of wine.
Or, my personal favourite, when I was hanging out with my buddy and his grandpa (who was really tough old bastard straight out of Italy), and when I told him I wasnât drinking, he handed me a glass of wine and said, âThatâs fine. Have a glass of wine.â
Yeah⊠pretty sure you already know what to do. If you want better biceps focus on biceps. It really is that simple. Once theyâre pretty decent then focus on eccentric, concentric, TUT, blah blah blah. For now just put consistent work in
Youâre making it really tough for me to find legit reasons to not work on my biceps. I am still leaning towards the potato idea.
Based on your picture, I can see why youâre having a hard time building your biceps.
If you donât buy them, and donât have them in the house, you canât eat them.
Feel free to elaborate

Haha, oh right. That picture. Thatâs Bob. He doesnât have time for arm work, he spends all his free time getting his ass kicked.
This is true. When most people say âMan, I need to get rid of this belly. I need to cut back on the beer.â Then, when you hang out with them while theyâre drinking, they consume plates of nachos, wings, pizza, chips, etc⊠while they drink. Every bite of loaded nacho has more calories than the entire beer, but for some reason the beer gets blamed.
When I vacation and drink far more beer, wine, bloody maryâs than usual, I almost always lose weight. Why? Because Iâm usually walking or doing some activity all day, and I donât eat crap with the beer. That said, itâs not a great long term approach and strength would suffer if I did that regularly, but itâs definitely possible to enjoy your nightly wine or vacation and not gain weight as a result.
Sure, if I donât buy them, they wonât be in the house. But this fails to address the main point of weakness in that plan in that I wonât have any snacks in the house.
I mean, easily 4/10ths of the reason I work out in the first place is because it allows me to eat like a complete fucking pig.
I said I would take part in the Transformation. Never said I would excel at it.
Letâs hope that all youâve lost is fat
These two statemented probably go hand in hand,
With regards to,
Iâd argue that for most people, their diet and its inherent qualities is in their control and not something that happens to them but a consequence of their actions. Skipping meals sounds like itâd aggrevate a snacking problem, not ameliorate it.
Make sure your menu includes an evening snack worth looking forward to. A 50/50-split between whey, casein and some walnuts/almonds is very easily whipped together. You can even mix it together in the morning, add 10g of gelatin, 10g of chia seeds and have a proper pudding to enjoy as a dessert.
Another option,
The truth-value of that statement is entirely contingent on how you want to look.
@Cyrrex another pudding
Mix it all together and freeze it, get it out of the freezer 10 min before eating
