Added some updated shots on my log tonight.

It’s real quiet round here, how is everyone else doing ?

I talk enough in my log. I figured I’d spare those who don’t intentionally seek it out.

I ate 100 grams of crabs for breakfast today, felt magical. Have 0 carbs left for day now…worth it. I’d say I’m 5 pounds away from being extremely happy. 10 from leaner than I need or want to be but still will push it.

Wife booked a trip to Antigua for our anniversary in two weeks. As smooth as things have been going, and I’m still on plan for my own timeline, I am now tempted to pound an EC stack with PSMF for two weeks. Knowing me I’ll make it 7 hours and then eat some dark chocolate and go back to my normal course.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am needing to buy a few more shirts for work. I usually buy Bonobos or Untuckit, but I’m looking for something else and these have a similar price point. I’m 5’9" and 175 lbs, and sometimes a medium, sometimes a large. Would you say these run larger or smaller than usual shirts? (I know the website has sizing info, but I find these are usually generic and not specific to the actual cut),

Up 7lbs since I started.176-183.

so, because this is a smaller company, and they really cater to specific needs of a athletic builds, I’ve found their sizing to be pretty accurate. You’ve seen plenty of pictures of me, so you know essentially how I’m built, at 5’11, 200 lbs. I have a few larges, and they are tight, but I can still wear them because the fabric stretches. The XL was looser, but still looks really good on me because the taper is so pronounced down to the waist. And those sizes basically agree with my measurements. My waist is smaller than what the XL would suggest on their website, but you can see in the picture it’s still not too big.

They also have a good return policy, so for your first order, you might wanna buy 2 sizes, and send back the one that doesn’t fit. Or, they might both ‘work’, just fit slightly different. I can still wear my larges.

Funny typo. I would never eat bug meat for breakfast

I love me some crab, but for breakfast?

See above, was a typo from auto correct for Carbs, but now too funny to edit.

Also nobody likes crab, they like butter. I like butter, but not enough to dip boiled underwater insect meat into a melted cup of it. So many easier butter dilvery systems out their than giant spiders and cockroaches from the ocean.

Maybe better save for the flame free thread but I can’t understand how people justify that if a giant insect lives in salt water, it’s more acceptable to eat than a giant insect that lives on land. Don’t get me started on how vile eating shrimp is conceptually. Bottom feeder bug meat.

I noticed that as i scrolled down, i’m just too lazy to delete the post. Plus everytime i see a post deleted, I immediately have to look at the edit thinking there’s some juicy nugget they didn’t want the world to see. I wanted to save other people from the disappointment of finding out I’m just a smart ass.

I got to go on a crabbing trip as a shore excursion on an Alaskan cruise. Ended with an all you can eat Dungeness crab feed at the end.

Those were some good bugs.

For those of us that eat land insects, are we exempt from justifying out sea insect appetite?

Bug meat is bug meat. I remember my first real hit of culture shock when I went to Asia and saw some starship trooper bugs grilling on sticks sold at street meat stands…

I get it, in theory, it would be the most globally sustainable protein to farm yadda yadda. Waiting on Biotest to put out a new insect based protein shake…

I’ve heard a lot of hillbilly shit since moving to the south, but the first time I heard a guy refer to cicadas as “land shrimps” before catching a few to fry later? That was the hilliest, billiest shit ever.

I had a buddy that supported a kickstarter making cricket based protein bars. He gave me one to try. I was hesitant. He chided me at first for not being willing to try new things.

I was like “Dude, gimme a cricket and I’ll eat it, but did you look at all the OTHER crap that is in these bars?”

They apparently need to cram a lot of sugar into a cricket to make it taste like PBJ.

You Forgot to mention crawfish. I cannot get over the jumbled mess of pretty much crap, that you see once you crack one of them open. Everyone’s always looking at me weird at crawfish boils since I’ll just eat a bunch of potatoes and corn and never touch those…things.

Mmmmmm, I love me some mud bugs…

When I cut trees&stumps we’d dig through the soft loamy dirt inside the hollowed out base of maple trees and get the locust grubs. They were monstrous. Like an inch and a half long and 3/4 inch thick.

They’re great for fishing. It’s like the bass version of hard boiled eggs or something.

Same with live locusts. Throw one into a pond or creek some time and what ever is in there will attack it.
