Off week

During my bulking phase I’m taking Mag 10, creatine, and eating 1000 calories above maintenance. During my off week from training should I:

  1. Continue using Mag 10 (the off week from training falls during my on week for Mag 10)?

  2. Continue taking creatine?

  3. Continue eating 1000 + maintenance?

  1. Don’t know, I would guess no (just to save $$)

  2. No, eat above maintenance calories but not 1,000 above (shoot for 300-500).

  3. Yes. Creatine is cheap, no reason to cycle off.

  1. If I was using “performance enhancing substances” of any kind (AAS, prohormones, prosteroids, whatever), especially if bulking was my goal, I’d follow the recommended protocol for that substance and adapt my training to suit.

In other words, if your second week of a 2-on Mag10 cycle happens to be concurrent with a planned off-training week, then continue to follow the Mag10 protocol and postpone your off-training week to coincide with an off week for the Mag10.
