October Surprise!

Go away. My secret society has hookers. Secret hookers…beat that.

I do. In fact I am starting a secret society right now. (Shhhhh.)

Who wants to join up?
They are SUPER RICH catholics who undertake a pilgrimage to Rome every now and then: and their money laundering coincides with the market tanking. Did you read the links in the video?

For that matter, financial astrologers have a roadmap for the collapse and recovery of the market (thanks entheo). I’ll post it up when I have it figured out. We will have a bear market for the next 16 years apparently as long as Pluto is in Capricorn.

And btw to anyone who thinks I predicted this will take place in October, I did not predict the october surprise. I am more of an emissary.

Did anyone visit the webpage of legatus yet?

http://www.legatus.org/

Also watch this video and look up the occurrences:

It’s a bunch of fucking Catholics who think they are the new Nostradamus.

I don’t do secret society bullshit.
I just read in the news this morning that National City bank is shopping itself for buyers.

I bank at National City.

Should I go take all my money out now?

I am worried.

Give me a break. YOU trade online and STILL assumed you OWN the shares you bought through your broker? WHO TRUSTS HIS GODDAMN BROKER? Are you BSing me? A broker can decalre BK at the drop of a hat and he won;t be held responsible for the assets he purchased IN HIS NAME. you do know you have to pay a sum of money to have them transferred to your name?

YOu label me a fearmonger but from your posts (and the illiterate d-bag who thinks I made up all that shit about the futures, black monday, gold juniors etc) its clear you chirpy kitties are in your own little world there.

“There may be a recession in stock prices, but not anything in the nature of a crash.” - Irving Fisher, leading U.S. economist, New York Times, Sept. 5, 1929 ?? DOW ~ 375

Lol. Nice.

There are two types of economic forecasters: Those that don’t know, and those that don’t know they don’t know.

You know those big shrimp? I mean the really really big ones?

Yes, yes. I love those.

We won’t be having those.

Oh. :frowning:

Will there be any food at all? Mick and I want to know.

We could always order some pizza, and have it delivered. That way no one has to waste a bunch of time cooking, and we can spend more time on our foil hats.
Ok,but how do you know the pizza joints won’t be hoarding pizzas,or maybe even be nationalized by the time of the first meeting?

I’m really worried.

Lots and lots of delicious booze and I’m there.

I don’t like to be sober when I’m around crazy people.

Do you even have a broker? Are you even out of your sophomore year, yet?

I have not fallen prey to your fear mongering. Unlike you, I know exactly what my broker can and cannot do.

Someone is most definitely living in their own little world. Could it be the guy who has no money, but is telling everyone else what to do with theirs? No way. Not a chance.

Maybe we could buy some now, then hoard them until we need them. Or, we could run down the street wielding clubs and torches and loot the local Dominoes.

Been using E-TRADE and Scottrade for the last 5 years. Traded options for 2-3 years. Ive even done turtle trading successfully for a year, if that makes a difference. I;m not an investor…investors never make money, NEVER!

Only traders make money in a given market. The only way to make CERTAIN money in the stock market is by piggybacking on the MMs. My expertise is not limited to the US markets, or even to the markets on this planet for that matter, but I digress. My sophomore year ended many many moons ago.

What fear mongering? How bad do you need things to get before you guys wake up?
And who on earth is your broker? Jesus? Gandhi? I don;t understand this unnatural trust you place in him GIVEN THE SCENARIO.

Since you’re in the financial business, I;m assuming you (or someone in your family) do your own buying and selling which is why you are so confident. When you’re using one of the commercial guys, you can’t be as relaxed. If any one is using TDPricewaterhouse (for e.g) watch the fur fly very soon.

Tch tch…wrong assumption about me.

It looks like YOU may have a plan after all (no one with your background and experience could be this confident in the face of evidence to the contrary), or you are friends with an MM (like I am).

Nevertheless, for the vast majority of people who use a commercially available broker, or bank with someone who’s not a family member (or family friend) things are very different.

And I never predicted the end of the world!
I KNOW we will have a bear market for the next 16 years, the DOW will sink to 2000 and housing prices will return to their 1992 levels. This may be monitored by watching Pluto sliding in/out of Capricorn - I do not understand the link myself but financial astrologers have been charting the financial collapse for a while apparently.

I KNOW that Legatus controls the US markets, as a result of the governments decision to back faith-based groups indiscriminately. Visit http://www.legatus.org for more information. What people do not realize is that “legatus” is NOT composed of HUMAN BEINGS alone but is an alliance (this I will discuss in a separate thread)

I BELIEVE we will have a banking holiday (of indefinite length) when credit/debit cards will not operate and assets will be frozen temporarily.

YOur options: Buy GOLD and SILVER, or invest in juniors.

I just heard on the radio that China and France are calling for a one world currency. I guess we will be scared into accepting the New World Order.

So what are some “rational” investment/market websites that you guys read?

You might want to let Warren Buffet know about that. He’d be shocked to know he’s been doing it wrong for the last 50 years.

I’m on board with this plan.

Provided I get a secret society invite,of course.

Otherwise,I’ll have to go pizza marauding on my own, which is never as much fun.

I respect that you called the Monday, although I’m sure just looking at the futures was all one needed to do to make that call. Regarding this “Bank Holliday” it doesn’t sound very plausible.

The critical problem right now is that the cash flow is freezing up. Closing the banks would slow things down even more and would be counter productive. Also, at this point, the last thing they would want to do is start a run on the banks.

I do agree with you about the brokerage point. Rainjack and the others are quite naive to believe that a broker would never steal assets. If things get bad enough people will do some very bad things.

If it gets to that point it will be so chaotic there won’t be much one can do about it. What are you going to do? Call the police? File a law suit? Good luck with all that when it’s happening to everyone and all hell is breaking loose.

I am not naive. I trade on line, and I know exactly what my broker can and can’t do.

If it gets so bad that I don’t trust my brokerage firm to do what they are paid to do, I will exit the market. If youa re dealing with a company you don’t trust, that is your own folly. Don’t assume that everyone who invests on line goes for the firm with the cheapest per trade charge.

I am curious who you use that you have so little faith in them.

I never picked you for a fear monger, on edge. I am quite disappointed.
I’m not making any type of prediction or anything. I’m just saying if all hell does break loose people will do some desperate things. I use Charles Schwab, btw.

If Buffett doesn;t switch to gold/silver, he’s going to be as BK as everyone else in 4 years.
But yes, good catch with Buffett. I still say that successful investors are rare. Traders on the other hand live to make money.

I think they are reputable but who knows what one individual who works for them might do. Remember a few years ago a “rouge trader” took down that British bank all by himself?
