Change “exact same” to “similar model” and then you’d be okay.

You must be lazy and unemployed because I’ve seen YouTube videos of lazy unemployed democrats on the intronets so all democrats must believe in being lazy and unemployed. What’s inaccurate about that?
First off it’s not Christine unless I’m missing a joke. And it is a bizzaro Republican world when you are vilified for having anything positive to say about the President. Are you trying to argue that the right hasn’t painted almost any attempt at bipartisanship with Obama as a tremendous negative? Hell they interrupted him during the damn state of the union.

I’m not a Democrat, but thanks for asking. The problem is with party cheerleaders NOT with attempting to work with someone else.
I spelled his name wrong out of habit, you know who I’m talking about.

Most Republicans didn’t care that Christie, praised Obama. If anything people just said, “okay the president is doing his job, that’s a good thing.”

Are you trying to argue that the left hasn’t done THE EXACT SAME THING? Do you really think it’s just the right not working with the left?

I honestly would like to know when the president or Congress in the last 4 years reached across the aisle and tried to compromise with the right? I can’t think of anytime and in all honesty (and I mean that) I hope you can show me an example.

The right needs to compromise. So does the left.

S&P down 3.5% in two days…

Shit

Unverified laundry list of layoffs.

Victory!

If you take me like that you are very wrong.

By the time Obama is finished with his second term his followers will look back at his first term and say that those were the golden years!

I know most around here knows what a “W” recession looks like. Watch all the liberals jump to their feet, “Yeah that’s a recession that GW Bush started.” WRONG…now sit down and don’t speak again until you are called on.

A W recession is one where we go into a recession start to come out of it (as we are now) and then because of a weak economy and also many factors within the Presidents control, slide right back into. So you go up up up, and then before we’re out of it…down, down, down.

That is my prediction for the economy within the next 12-18 months based on the clueless fuck who sits in the White House.

(Sorry Tirib it had to be said)

Everyone except democrats know that it is the Presidents job to reach out and strike up a deal.

Ronald Reagan did it with Tip O’Neil, Bill Clinton did it with Newt Gingrich, but for some reason the arrogant leftist Obama is just too good for that sort of thing.

He must have watched too much “Roadhouse” “My way or the highway.”

How dare you attack me!

LOL no just kidding…You’re one of my favorite posters for many reasons. I like how you can take a thread on…oh say basket weaving, and turn it into a religious thread. It’s actually amazing. You are Harry Houdini like.

I don’t know if i should feel great because you didn’t count me as a “liberal and moderate” or bad because you didn’t name me on your list :frowning:

Anyway, i can confirm that the local conservatives and republicans are usually civil and interesting people to debate with.

Libertarians on the other hand…

To be honest, kamui, I’ve never considered you to be on the “other side” of me on any issue. Not even in the religious thread. Not sure how that works, but it is what it is. You know you are one of my favorite posters of all time.

Good to see you back around again. I hope you stay.

So, your thoughts on the passage of Obamacare?
Disgusting. Even more disgusting that the right decided for our “choice” election they would run a guy who already did the exact same thing in his state. Some choice we had.
True, I didn’t think he’d the best messenger on Obamacare. However, it’s an entirely different level to say states might be able to do some things the Federal government should never be able to do. In any event, Obamacare is here to stay now. Unless the courts deliver. And, well, I have little faith in that.

Check out the heading.

AKA the double dip recession…

@ Sloth that’s an article by former Bush 2 speech writer David Frum.

Cortes, I’m flattered to be mentioned! Yes, I am indeed guilty as charged, a moderate/ social liberal.

And I can also confirm that while the debate can get spirited at times, which I thoroughly enjoy reading (since I read far far more than I post here), the spirit is good and there is no one here of the regular conservative posters I wouldn’t have a beer or two with irl. Yes, even Tirib.

I don’t want to chat in a forum that just re affirms my beliefs, and I can honestly say I have learned a lot here and it has influenced my views on certain issues and helped to sharpen and clarify it in many others.

As kamui already mentioned, the libertarians however …lol

I’m aware.

What Christie did for himself was politically brilliant. He knew Obama was going to carry New Jersey. So he decided to politicize his ability to be bi-partisan for future use. It had zero outcome on the election, but made Christie look like a great guy. But maybe I’m cynical and jaded.

Don’t know what’s actually in the article, but chances are great that it was some Newsweek editor who wrote the headline (like what happened to Romney with his NYT op-ed). The contents of the article could well be something like what Rove said the day after the election about demography etc.

As soon as the socialist and chief eliminates the Bush tax cuts we are toast. But, I’m not totally believing John Boehner will cave on that one. But if he does you can count it down within 12 months or so another recession, this one deeper than the previous.

Christie harmed Romney by elevating Obama. In any election you cannot elevate one candidate without harming the other…especially that close to an election. The storm was the left jab Christie tongue kissing Obama was the right cross.

And…because of that one move Christie will not only NEVER be considered as Presidential timber, but he won’t even be considered as running mate material.

Christie screwed himself in a very big way!

You have no idea.

But yes, if all he ever wanted to do was be Governor of New Jersey he’s fine.

I am blushing Cortes haha.

I have been in many heated discussions here before, but it doesnt change the way I feel about PWI, wich is that it is from my experience one of the better political forums out there with a wide range of different opinions and with alot of knowledgeable posters. To say I have learned alot from reading and posting in this forum would be a understatement.

Californians planning to leave in droves, tax rates of 13.3% are now sending all business to all of you people.

Please be nice to my peoples, they are over-taxed refugees.
