That guy is shameless.

I tried googling him and this was the first thing that came up:

Obama Is a Mack Daddy - Pastor Manning

quality.

From his own website:

Manning also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the ATLAH Theological Seminary, an unaccredited educational institution.

lol.

Ivy League schools don’t offer athletic scholarships.

That is all. Everyone can go back to the topic at hand.

yeah they do, it’s called financial aid. whiel technically not a scholarship, it might as well be. for instance, a friend wanted to go to Lafayatte a Patriot league school. While they did not offer scholarships then, his aid was only 1000$ from completely covering it.

You’re 6’5" with a rocket arm, and want to go to Harvard and have half a brain and are poor, you’ll get grants and various scholarships to cover your costs, no problem.

But its based on financial need, not athletic ability. Whereas a true athletic scholarship doesn’t have to depend on financial need at all.

Nah, but I saw this last week:

And this came up when I did a google search for the above:

Yeah, sort of, but if you need and you’re running a 4.35 you need more. This si where they “give scholarships” but don’t give scholarships. Plenty of money at these private colleges and universities for athletes “in need”.

Nah, but I saw this last week:

And this came up when I did a google search for the above:

That was some clever editing by MSNBC (no surprise). I watched that edition of the Beck show and I had no problem following what he was trying to say. He did a very good job with his explanation.

One thing I’ve learned in following politics since the 1970s, when many of you weren’t even a sperm in your daddy’s nuts yet, is that one can intuitively learn a fair amount about a political figure by examining whom his worst enemies are. This is not an infallible analytical method but when I see MSNBC going after Beck…I kinda wannna kick back say…Oh, I think Beck might be on the right track here.

I will say this, since watching Beck somewhat regularly over the past month or so, I can see how his statements and antics can easily be taken out of context and him portrayed as a nutjob. He is not a nutjob and what he says needs to be examined in its entirety. Even honest liberals and Democrats will appreciate some of what he has to say. He is NOT a Republican mouthpiece by any stretch.

I became a knee jerk conservative in the mid 70 s the same way. If Teddy Kennedy wanted it, I was against it. and over the years I learned not that I was right, but why I was right. There were a few other names on my nitwhit list, but it worked well for me.

The guy in charge of “editing” is Joe Scarborough. Douche he may be, but a conservative, republican (former) congressman out of Florida’s 1st as well.

I don’t think he is a nutjob, I think he plays a nutjob on tv.
pushharder wrote:

I know who Scarborough is. Thing is, I watched the Beck show in question. I know what I saw and heard. There was no nutjobbery goin’ on. You of all people should be making the point that a Republican congressman does not a honest conservative make.

I also have a feeling based on the political leanings you show here on this forum that you would not view his show objectively nor in its entirety. But that won’t keep you from offering your commentary on what Beck is and what he says. You surely won’t have any problem looking for out of context sound bites to make your uninformed judgments that Beck is full of shit.
Nah, I actually watched the “full clip” on youtube. Guess what, it appears that’s edited too, but this time to put Beck in a good light. Big surprise.

I’m not really surprised you think his “Healthcare tree” is him making a good point. You’re the crowd he’s aiming for…from what I can see “based on the political leanings you show here on this forum”. Like I said, I don’t think he’s a nutjob, I think he plays one one TV.

“Germany went awry because of a couple of things… money, and then crazy people”

Even this guy is a fan.

Glen Beck is saying what millions of Americans have thought for years. He is a human being and subject to all the usual foibles, but his show is generally well researched and his conclusions are more often than not some version of the same ones I’ve also come to.

He sees big government liberalism as an attack on the United States. Like I say, a view millions of Americans, including myself have thought for decades before ever hearing of him.

The small business topic on his show today (Monday, the 17th) was fantastic. I am a small business owner so it was very relevant to me. I’d strongly encourage those interested to view the video.
I’ve been watching him more. That show was good.

His style is an absolute goldmine of out of context bombs for the left though. That’s just his personality. He always qualifies himself, but every show I spot a real doozy where if you just stopped it at the right point it would make him look like an irresponsible ranter.

Oh come on, that’s a joke! That’s fucking funny. Grow a sense of humor man! I don’t mind people disagreeing with him and hold opinions against his, but seriously. I have managed to laugh at a lot of Bush jokes over the years from liberal wackos, it won’t hurt you if you can do the same with conservative wackos.
