Fuck, I got my dates confused. I would’ve been able to do Sunday but I can’t make it Saturday. You guys have fun and eat up!

Sorry you won’t be able to make it Khalid. Maybe we can schedule the next one on a Sunday, I know a couple of people mentioned being unable to make particular Saturdays. Hope someone brings a camera, mine died in Bermuda (I just seem to go through cameras these days).

We can all meet inside. If you get there early or right around 12, we can hang by the front desk for a little bit.

I’ll be getting there either right at 12 or very shortly after. If everyone else is there go ahead and start up without me I’ll just jump in.

Ugh,… heat advisory today,… we may have to spend some serious time in the gym enjoying the air conditioning. Maybe we can have our lunch delivered so we won’t have to go outside and brave the heat -lol.

Great training session and even better feast afterward. It was good getting to meet up with all that came out.

Nice… so pissed I missed it! Ahhh!!!

Definitely a good time. Yes, we actually did SOME lifting, but it was undoubtedly a social event as well, especially when Bob Bonham himself popped by to say hello, and he’s got stories and stories about everything (also one hell of a nice guy!)

Food wise, I knew THOUGHTS1053 could eat, by damn, COLIND624 downed a 20 oz burger in about the time it took THOUGHTS to tuck a napkin under his chin -lol. (Damn, these silly online names are so ridiculous sometimes)
We also discovered the wonderful combination of chili-cheese fries with bacon, banana peppers, and BBQ sauce :smiley:

And those 250 lb dumbells… they may as well have been glued into place, I couldn’t imagine less than 4 people having to even position them into place if big Ronnie wanted to lift them.

I’m really hoping this becomes a regular thing. We were discussing other locales on the ride back to NY, and when the Long Island gym that Chris Colucci mentioned came up, I remembered a FAMOUS DAVE’S BBQ joint right nearby… certainly meets all the necessary requirements for heavy weight n’ heavy food!

I definitely enjoyed myself (at the gym and after). It’s a nice social gathering and not about who’s on what level. I was able to finish my whole workout while Stu was still warming up (he talked more than he lifted, lol).

The 1lb burger went down easy. 3 of us took it down without a problem. It wasn’t till after we were done did we found out that it was only the qualifier for the 2 pounder and after that the 3 pounder.

Anyone else into turning this into a food challenge meet-up? Of course with some training thrown in somewhere, lol.

Lol idk bout you guys but i think i got a pretty good workout in. I’m already sore from it… Will definitely be feeling this tomorrow

So not sure how long Stu and thoughts, as well as the rest of those big mofo’s are out in Colorado for, but ik Stu had wanted to hit Ironsport in Philly this saturday (30th). Not sure if he would be home for that, let alone be rested enough from Colorado to train this weekend though lol, and i know there were a couple people who wanted to get together on a sunday as opposed to a saturday.

So far i guess our next possible locations are;

Ironsport near Philly (Stu will have to let us know what the deal is with the 30th)

Sparta Gym in Westbury (with the Famous Dave’s BBQ nearby)

We could also hit Bev’s and Strong and Shapely again in the future, so don’t rule those out. Ik ColinD and Thoughts are looking forward to going back to that Cheeburger Cheeburger for a shot at the 2lb (and maybe even 3lb) burger lol.

Feel free to throw out new locations, (for both training and eating) as well as dates. This weekends dates would be the 30th and 31st and next weekends would be the 6th and 7th.
