truth or myth?
myth.
there are SO many factors to acne (genetics, age, stress level etc…)
I’m 24, highly stressed and my older sister still has zits and I eat alot of nuts; and i rarely have a “breakout”.
But I do bath in rubbing alcohol. :-/
might help out?
I think it depends a lot on which nuts also. For example, what I call “plain” types of nuts such as almonds and cashews I am fine with - can have them every day without any side effects. However, with what I call “rich” nuts such as macadamia, walnuts, and pecans I tend to get some skin issues.

My dermatologist told me that YES, the oil found in nuts can cause acne, but they are good for your overall health so its your choice I guess.
Lately I’ve been eating lots of walnuts and peanuts, while on a low carb diet. And my skin has improved a lot, I don’t have almost any breakouts any more.
Nuts don’t cause acne. No one knows what causes it, but it must be a combination of things, so it depends on the rest of your diet too.
