NSCA-CPT

Hey,
Im planning on writing the NSCA-CPT exam in august (in toronto). I have been reading through “NSCA’s Essentials of Personal Training” text book, and am wondering if the exam focuses a lot on all the detailed calculations that are described in the book. If anyone has already written this exam, any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Pete

I took the exam last yer in Dec. (Last year only 48% of the people taking passed) The questions need to be read carefully. And yes you need to know everything they suggest. Mostly becuase it will make you a better trainer and secondly because you never know what they will put on the exam. If you have been training and have a good background in strength training you should be fine. Good reasoning skills are a major bonus. Just stop and think before you fill in the circle.
