I know that the effects of NSAID use on muscle growth have been alluded to several times at t-mag, but I was wondering if anyone cold report on precisely what the effects are of nsaid use on hypertrophy and strength gains: have they been shown to have a serious effect, are all nsaids bad or just some, what doses are needed to produce a noticable effect, etc?
Although I don’t have much information to answer your questions, I will make a comment. I think it is a good idea to take NSAIDs after certain injuries to lessen inflamation. Personally it works like a charm for little kinks or injuries I sustain during workouts.
I think you have to weigh the pros and cons of NSAID use. I think it’s use is warranted, but perhaps just sparingly.
