Seeing your workouts, I’m so jealous of Maschy for training with you.
Wow babe! Leg day, two jobs and you ran 8 miles this morning. That’s fuckin’ awesome.
Now that running trails is a hot topic in PW (there seems to be a new hot topic every week lol), I think I’ll try it out. The trail I’m thinking of has beautiful scenery, won’t feel like work at all.
You wear any type of special shoes OMO, or just normal kicks? I won’t have to get Vibrams, right? 0:-)
Nope, no special shoes (for me at least). Some people love trail shoes but I find they make me feel like bigfoot since they don’t bend very well. I just wear my normal Asics running shoes. Those worked for running in the slickness of the rainforest too in Brazil so I tend to stick with what feels best. Those vibrams look interesting though.
I would love to train with you…maybe your heavy-lifting-awesomeness could magically rub off on me

ya, you weren’t sore this morning?
or did you ‘run the sore out?’ :)
My soreness on any activity usually hits 2 days after…so I’m gonna be in serious pain tomorrow I work tonight so maybe I’ll work some of the soreness out that way (fingers crossed)
MiM-I got what you were sayin love…bottom line is…SORE! lol!
Alright…Irish and I did chest, shoulders and tris on saturday but I need him to write out what I did and what weight etc…I don’t keep track of that shit, he does. After that he joined me for my three miles…it was his turn to have something be “labored” lol! Although I give him alot of credit for trying.
Today I ventured out in the rain to get my 13 miles in. It was beyond muddy. One of the stream crossings were almost up to my waist so I found a fallen tree to get across. Needless to say my running partner decided to bail after 8 miles…the super thick mud made it so hard on our ankles. Sooooooo I came home and hopped on the treadmill and finished that shit out.
And then I was feeling slightly domestic so I spent a good part of the day cooking. For lunch I made whole wheat pizza with pesto, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, shrimp and feta on top. Then since Irish is now feeling under the weather I made homemade chicken soup.
13 miles in mud would be tough. Fortunately most of the mud has gone from where I run - it’s been dry for ages now. Good work, even if you finished on the treadmill (personally, I’ll take mud over a treadmill - I can’t run on those things!)

I agree the dreadmill is not my favorite. I would rather do any weather than the treadmill EXCEPT when its a little cold with rain. I can take freezing with snow but a cold rain just does me in.
And now for a little more food porn…breakfast was soooo good. Cream of wheat made with almond milk topped with strawberries, blueberries, pecans & agave nectar YUM!

You can’t start a log and expect someone else to log things for you just because you’re pretty
