I’m chuckling at you not being able to swim. We all have our weaknesses. I can swim (badly and slowly but I can go for ages) but I can’t ride a bike. Hence there will be no triathlons in my future. Unless they let you ride tricycles. Which would be too embarrassing and it’s not like you can hold on to a big boy in one of those, is it?
Anyways, don’t worry about being a pussy. I’ve been a total wimp these past two weeks due to a crappy virus (which is now on the way out, thank god). Sometimes a body needs rest - don’t feel bad for listening to it.
Thanks Cal but I’m really milking this whole “my body needs rest”. What started as rest has now just turned to lazy

Oh hi…I’ve been very busy getting fat. ha!
Just how fat are you planning on getting?
Cuz I think we need to mark an end date on your callendar. It can be an end-date chosen by date… or an end-date chosen by pounds on the scale. Your call.

End day needs to get chosen though.
Just sayin.

Well, I hadn’t really planned on getting fat…but I’m so very good at it that I am now teetering on having outgrown a size 8.
Every monday is my chosen end date…and then I get too lazy and change it to the “next” monday. If downward spiraling is an activity then I am taking first place in it.
Mash-at this point with this busted attitude and bicep I don’t see competing as being a viable option

Lets pick a day please. How about tomorrow? You just need to get in the swing of it, nothing crazy just make your gym appearances. Do whatev fuckall with Boy the rest of the time.
Whats the word on the bicep? Official diagnosis?
EDIT. Here… someone gave me this quote when I was struggling:
“You are a great champion. When you ran, the ground shook, the sky opened and mere mortals parted. Parted the way to victory, where you’ll meet me in the winner’s circle, where I’ll put a blanket of flowers on your back.”
Sounds like you got a lot on your plate (punny?) and I totally sympathize. Its hard to workout around injuries, ESPECIALLY when they affect your motivation.
I wish there were something I could do to help! Maybe a firm slap on the ass, perhaps?
Hang in there, lovey. Just remember how far you’ve come and how much work and dedication you put into getting here. xox
I am the arch-procrastinator when it comes to dieting. In fact, this year it took me until July to start my January diet. I know it’s a lot more difficult when there’s an injury to contend with.
Sometimes you just have to give yourself a good old fashioned kick up the arse. But I find that wanting to make the change is the key. Self-loathing is usually a good motivator but I really wish I didn’t have to reach that point before starting a diet.
I ate decent yesterday and so far so good today…I’m posting a few pics as my motivation…these were in Brazil in April. How I let myself go in such a short amount of time I’ll never know lol!
Damn you look lean, Omo! Look at that flat tummy and that quad sweep and those hammies! Would nomnomnom.
Anyways, emphasis on “short amount of time” - I doubt you’ve done much damage. And even if you have, not only do you have the muscle memory to get you back to where you were at strengthwise, but you have a whole shitload of knowledge to trim off the fat safetly and smartly.

You got this girl!
Thanks babe! I figure if I can get my eating in check I’ll feel alot better. The boy is really sick again…he passed out at work yesterday and spent the remainder of the day in the ER. The mono is back full force so I’ve ordered him to stay away from the gym for three weeks. He’s crushed. Since he’s a recovering addict his lifting is so intertwined with his sobriety that he’s hesitant to stay away. He had just finally gotten most of his strength back and then it hit again. I’m gonna try to just fit some cardio in and use his resting time to properly heal my arm.
