My mud run was waist deep at the worst of it and I just kinda held on to a big boy while he swam us both across. Lol
Yeah that’s what I thought I would do and then I saw video of people jumping from a high platform into deep water in this race!!! Honestly I can flail around enough not to sink but my sticking point is the head under water thing. It freaks me out. Big time. I tried adult swim lessons and tried jumping in the deep end when instructed and motherfucked the instructor after saying it was just as bad as I thought it would be. I promptly left :)
Who needs to swim when you can just hold onto a big boy to keep from drowning? Big Boys in water are fun. In fact… even if you CAN swim this would be the perfect time to pretend you can’t.

Hallie–RIGHT? Momma didnt raise NO fool.

OMG! I had to comment because I have to wear that exact dress (in brown) for my brother’s wedding in a few weeks. I was like, really? A BOW? REALLY?
And agreed, you have lovely calves, and you’re just a little hottie.
Also, hai! Excited to see the figure comp process.
Oh hai there!! Thank you
That dress is just not flattering…I’m very sorry you are stuck wearing it as well. Just tell me you’re not being forced to wear the hideous bow shoes that go with it? As long as one of us is spared…
Hal if it were a setting where I could WALK INTO the water I would just hold on…but you have to jump eep!! that’s too much for me.
And Dash, it was priceless, the instructor knew I was a runner and she called out after me “don’t you want to be a triathlete??!!” I was like nope, I’m good being a marathoner and kept on walkin

Soooo…B mentioned this race to me that I think I want to do after the figure competition. Anyone ever do the Tough Mudder? Its a 12 mile course with a ton of obstacles. B actually said he’d want to do it together. I still can’t get over how nice it is to have your partner want to do all these active things together My ex husband was such a dud in comparison lol!
I know a couple of the guys in Over 35 have done the warrior race and tough mudder. I think JLo just did one too. They look ridiculously fun, you’ll have to post pics for us if you do it.

Thanks…I’ll have to ask her. Maybe I’ll just stick to the warrior dash since there’s no “swimming” in it.
Still nursing this bicep strain/tendonitis so I stuck to legs. We got to the gym really late and only had an hour before it closed so I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to.
squats 4x10
leg extentions 3x15
hamstring curls 3x15
walking DB lunges 3x15
leg press 3x15
I want to want this but I’m having trouble getting motivated when I’ve lost so much strength and gotten so fat. Super discouraged
blue dress is way to bright for my taste. Rack is epic in that black and white number.
I’m having a hell of a hard time getting motivated myself. At the moment I am sitting in my dark living room drinking beer when I should be at the gym. Such a lazy ass.

soooo I am passing on this recommendation for any type of inflamation including injury and tendonitis.
Curcumin mega doses you can’t take too much take like six capsules three times a day
Weboenzym its hella expensive but WORTH IT. Take it in the a.m. on an empty stomach as the instructions on the box. Here is a pic of it.
You can get both at Whole Foods or online. I AM SRS THIS IS SRS BOSSING OF YOU!!!
i iz njoyn the bossing
so you take both curcumin and webenzym? I swear, I have a hard time with managing all my supps and when to take them. What do you take and when?
Lulz.
So I actually only take them when I’m injured. The curcumin I just loaded up on like six caps three times a day, two if I didn’t remember midday.
the webo has to be taken on an empty stomach. So does my thyroid hormone so when first alarm went off I would just pop those both.
Supps CAN be a hassle with emtpy stomach/with food not with this with that etc.

I’m heading to whole foods tonight I think
It really is a hassle with supps…I try to take a multi, fish oil, flax oil, glucosimine, calcium and some extra b. I wish I could take them all at the same time but I know you’re not supposed to.
I’m chuckling at you not being able to swim. We all have our weaknesses. I can swim (badly and slowly but I can go for ages) but I can’t ride a bike. Hence there will be no triathlons in my future. Unless they let you ride tricycles. Which would be too embarrassing and it’s not like you can hold on to a big boy in one of those, is it?
Anyways, don’t worry about being a pussy. I’ve been a total wimp these past two weeks due to a crappy virus (which is now on the way out, thank god). Sometimes a body needs rest - don’t feel bad for listening to it.
