Not Quite BodyBuilding

Excellent advice, but again…its also a good idea for the guy to start learning good food habits while getting into the whole thing (suff protein, a daily multi, enough fiber, enough fat, etc) and at his weight he can get a crapload of calories from a passably-clean diet with occassional fast food (Surprisingly healthier options for fast food also exist), though that is not his greatest concern at this point.
OP, to all the advice youve been given…all I can add is: get enough protein and drink a gallon of water daily.
Get enough calories to make sure your scale weight is going up CONTINUALLY. Make sure youre handling heavier weights over time (train to get stronger CONTINUALLY, and in a few years you should be packing 40-50 pounds of muscle. At this stage you will progress BEST by adding weight to the bar from workout to workout. That may last for a hell of a long time at your level. IF you feel youre gaining too much fat and your strength hasn;t shifted for a while, make tweaks like switching rep ranges or exercises or shift the order of execution…don;t be in a hurry to overhaul the whole workout.

G’day mate

Looking at your diet its no wonder u are still a beanpole.Dont worry ive been that weight before and im 4 inches taller than u.

I may get flamed for this but get stuck into the fast food.Hungry jacks-Kfc-Maccas-subway whatever.

It’s what has worked for me,i use to eat clean all the time and i stayed the same skinny lanky for ages.soon as i left school and had money to buy my own food and my own car it was off to get fast food.
Im assuming that u are just a naturally skinny dude so dont worry about getting fat. After eating all this fast food plus a few protein shakes and Max-ot i put on 80 pounds.

But dont get me wrong im not saying “only eat fast food” just have 1 or 2 serving’s each day.Continue to eat some quality meals like u have been doing just jack your calories up and u will soon grow.

All the best

To be fair to people who feel they can’t eat any more than they already do, this is kind of how I have felt after past cuts. Your stomach gets used to eating more after a while. As long as you push yourself with your eating it does get easier to get in volume.

For example during a badly done (undereating cut) I struggled eating a normal meal. My last meal (2/6) I had 2 9" home made pizza’s with 1/5 litres of water.

Also I would try and find a different time to train (If 9pm is still your workout time). Having only a post work shake following your workout, then going to bed and not eating for 8 hrs (+) cannot be helpful. If you can’t find a better time to workout try and get a whole meal in before you hit the hay with plenty of protein, carbs and fats so you get fed during a longer period.

Awsome this all answers alot of my questions I had.
And I completly understand that genetics and all
that shit is an excuse, belive me I know I can
improve I just needed to hear what was the next step
as for 9pm training i worked from either 6am-6pm or
8am-8pm so the time did change but thats not a prob anymore
I PT @ Home now and dont do 12 hour shifts, so I can keep
eating and working out time open whenever I need it.
As for Fast food, I know I can eat it but I normally choose not to, don’t get me wrong I have it every once in a while like 2-3 times a month maybe, but Id rather stay
away from all the chemicals and shit in it.
I think I read somewhere on this site which sums up exactly
what you’ve all said, I gotta eat and sleep right
lift something heavy and continue for many many years.

Cheers all
