Nose Tork

Ok…I was very cautious haha…kept it an arms length away and tried to whof it towards me…however it didn’t work…I could smell the ammonia but just a scent. So…I held it gradually closer and smelled and HOLY FUCK!. That shit burned my fucking nostrils so much! How is this ever gonna be useful in the gym lol…

nose tork is TOO strong.

It’ll be good to use after a couple of weeks, if should get less nasty!

Its great but dose fade faster than normal smelling salts. When you 1st use it you carn’t get close… by the time a meet swings round your ramming it up your nostril LOL!

1st time I opened it the fumes stung a cut I had on my hand!

Get some ammonia tabs, better.

Single use, pop it, snort it and toss it, so there is less time between the “hit” and when you lift. But more expensive in the long run.

With the Nose Tork I think you’d be fine if someone else is handling the bottle and screwing the top back on for you. But if you are doing it yourself you’ll be fumbling with the top after a huge hit, and then you have to remember where you tossed the bottle.

Anyways, I don’t think most people need to be using tork, smelling salts, tea tree oil, ammonia w/e in the gym. I use 3-4 tabs per competition and maybe 4-5 a year in the gym. I buy a 20 pack a year and I’m all set, it may cost more but when you’re paying $7 a year it makes little difference.

Of course you don’t NEED it…just like you don’t NEED protein powder…NEED preworkout stims or spikes or what not…NEED chalk…NEED anything really. All those things help alot. I think it’s totally subjective…if one person does not want to use it…good I’m glad that works for them…however if another does want to and they feel it helps them intensify their gym time and/or lift heavier weight…then so be it. Of course it is not needed though.

IMO it is retarded to use nose tork or similar products frequently.
getting psyched up regularly just drains you and leaves you burnt out.

For Competitions it has its uses though.

For me if I am very sluggish at the gym and can’t get fired up, I persume there is a reason for it and just do all I can that day, and try to corrrect any recovery mistakes I am making.

First time I encountered tork, I ran out of caps at a meet and I was going up for a PR deadlift (560, I think), so I mooched a whiff of tork off another lifter. After I whiffed that shit, I couldn’t open my eyes.

I stumbled out on the platform, opened my eyes and found I was standing exactly in the right spot in front of thr bar. Still missed the hell out of the fucking lift though.
