We get a lot of excellent information here on T-Nation about many different aspects of building a better body nutrition, supplementation, exercise, etc.
One item of interest seems to be to have been mentioned only in passing here and there ? Neurotropics. Dr. John Berardi mentioned Piracetam and someone else mentioned Phosphatidyl Serine, but that is about it I have seen.
It would be great if one of the gurus on T-Nation could do an article on neurotropics and reputable places where to get them. By the way, where does one get Piracetam, etc?
Lest you incur the wrath of a rabid Atomic Dawg, let me gently remind you in case you may have forgotten or simply been unaware, that Biotest’s own Power Drive is a nootropic formula. I have been a regular user of this product for at least the last four years, though probably longer. For more information do a search…I personally like the mental frame of mind it provides both during, and especially, post-workout. It makes the endorphin rush even more profound. There have been times when I have experienced a damn-near state of euphoria while on this product. I like to mix it with Surge, and or a fat-burner, and or a Red Bull type beverage. High man, real high.

I did that?but there?re so many and none of the reputable or known (at least for me ) companies that sell this stuff?it would be nice if someone from T-Nation that we know we can trust can make a recommendation.

I have been using Power Drive for a while - love it.

Is it ok to take one serving before and one soon after a workout? I thought it was only a pre-workout formula?
While it does lower cortisol, the other supposed benefits do not pan out. It turns out that the original form of PS came from…I think it was animal brains and for obvious reasons that version is not available. If you go back to the primary literature you will find out that there is no evidence that the currently available version of PS has any of the other benefits that the…animal brain derived one does.
Nootropics to check out:
–Piracetam: make sure the dose is high enough…for many people this can be 2 + (?even 4) gram/day. Make sure to take some form of choline with the piracetam unless you want a headache.

–vinpocetine (vasodilator)

Where do you buy it from? Send me a PM please if posting a link is not allowed…how much choline does one need to take? Do you take it at the same time with piracetam, with food or when? Thanks!
