Noni Juice Opinions

I’ve recently had a coworker tell me how great this stuff is and I have never heard of it. When looking it up online it appears that almost every source of information for this stuff is selling the product as well and I am looking for an unbiased opinion as to the actual benefits of this ‘noni juice’ Anyone on here use and see results?

let me guess, your co worker wants to sell you some…

i have used 2 (free) bottles recently and dont really “feel” any different, but this doesnt mean its no good, im sure someone here knows and will chime in

When in doubt, wiki:

So there is a lot of anecdotal evidence that it can treat some conditions based on historical folk usage.

Since we have drugs that can alleviate all the conditions noni is supposed to alleviate, I don’t see any reason to drink it other than it tastes good.

But basically all these new fruits: noni, acai, goji–the fact is that the people who have traditionally consummed these things aren’t any healthier than the rest of us. They might have benefits–so the guy in the tropics who eats, oh, papayas and noni and pineapple might be as healthy as the guy who eat strawberries, blueberries and pomegranates–but not any better. Eating nutrient dense fruits with lots of micronutrients, antioxidants, etc. is good for you. It is unlikely any single fruit in and of itself is a miracle worker.

This is entirely anecdotal, but when I was doing a consultation to have surgery, the surgeon asked about supplements I was taking and specifically mentioned a patient who had a serious problem w/ excessive bleeding/ not clotting properly. It turned out she was taking noni juice. The bleeding problem apparently resolved when she stopped taking it. I’d skip it myself.

Tastes like shit, not worth it.

Isn’t the stuff supposed to be a hyped up cleansing drink with antioxidant properties? I’d imagine a quality Greens supplement will do a lot more for you than Noni Juice.

i think you hear a lot about it now because there is probably 10 companies selling it, or a different type of “wonder juice”. i saw a newscast online where somebody went undercover to talk to people from a company that sold one type and the people got caught telling possible consumers that it cured a ladies cancer or some dumb shit like that. if i can find it i will post it.

found it…

My father-in-law drinks that nasty stuff. He’s throughly convinced that it helps him with his Chagas disease, but I think he is full of shit. If noni juice does all the crap it says on the label, every pharm. company would be tearing each other apart to get the first noni juice pill out.

Have you seen the stuff? Black, chunky goo that looks like untreated sewage. Blech.

I have tried the stuff. My dad has tried to get me to sell the stuff in a multi-level marketing scheme. Contrary to what others here say, I like the taste. The problem is that the stuff is so incredibly expensive. I know there are many claims for what it can do but I haven’t seen any evidence that convinces me.

On a trip to Tobago, where they grow and process Noni, I had an interesting conversation with a local businessman at dinner one night.

Apparently this gentleman had been involved in the production of Noni juice and he told me that the actual Noni fruit smells and tastes so bad that they have to cut it with other juices to even make it palatable. So the juice you get in your bottle is at least 50% grape, apple, or some other filler juice. Secondly, he said that the only way to get the true benefit from the fruit is to consume the juice shortly after squeezing it. He said that the Noni juice that you get in the states is practically useless after it has spend a month or more being shipped to you and sitting on a warehouse shelf.

The bottom line, Noni does work but the commercially available products suck. Save your money.

I thought this was another pussy juice thread.
