Dude, I did atg squats last night (first time ever with high bar placement) and let’s just say I was humbled. Your vid is actually what inspired me to see if my knees could handle 'em.
You realize you said a girl inspired you to lift harder?
For me, wider stance/toes out sets the weight more in the hips (which I’m not flexible enough for) and closer stance/toes forward hurts my knees. It’s just about finding the sweet spot. For me, it’s slightly outside shoulder width with toes pointed out about 30-45degrees
Yeah, I “practiced” my technique off and on throughout the day with just bw to see how my knee felt. I knew I could do it when I could break parallel with minimal knee pain. I’m shooting for a 365 atg oly squat within the next year. Race?
Sure I’ll race. Not sure how my knees will feel about ATG but I’ll make it work for at least one set to kick your ass.

Haha, bring that shit son! And, from your vids it looks like you’re pretty close to atg as is.

I’m just here to look at the pics and vids and to read about your sex life btw.
I saw that vid of 435 dl, wasn’t it just a bit ago that you posted the 400lbs dl in tilf? I think it was you.
NICE!
The midget texts were funny and you have a cute butt and don’t have a high voice. I think I have covered everything important.
Good day.
T-Vix are always welcome round these parts! I posted a 405 DL a couple places a while back, so it mighta been me. I’ll be sure to keep squatting to keep my assets up to snuff.
Speaking of, the hotel “gym” is a 6x12 room with 3 treadmills. WEAK. Better luck in KC I hope
Cobbled together a deload week workout at the hotel gym with a really shitty smith machine (pic hopefully attached). bench up to 155x5 supersetted with horribly bad rope rows. Then squat up to 150x5 supersetted with chinups (grip between pronated and neutral). Time to crush some kc bbq!!!
Here’s a pic of what I’m doing on my first night back while my roomies are out drinking (see, I don’t ALWAYS join them). 1.8lbs ground beef made into 3 burgers, a 2lb flank steak, 1lb of chicken strips and a cup of rice boiling. Should last me through most of Saturday.
Side note: I swear girls can smell when you’re getting laid. I was getting texted constantly while away and again tonight… 3 months ago I would act exactly the same and be a lonely sailor surfing porn sites while my chicken baked in the oven.
Deload week fucking sucks. I just want to get psyched up and crush PRs and grunt/growl and lift 400 pounds off the floor and put it back down. Of course I am already toying with the idea of doing double cycles (two 3-week cycles between each deload) but I should probably just stick with the way Wendler wrote it.
On the plus side, I felt different in the gym today… like I actually had specific muscle groups that I felt contracting in different places as I walked around and stretched. It’s prob just bc I finally put physique photos up and it’s on my mind more, but then again you SHOULD feel different somewhere after putting on 45lbs. Whatever, it was weird/cool.
A) OHP
70 x 5
85 x 5
100 x 5 felt like a huge vag.
B) Seated DB OHP
45 x 10, 10, 10
C) T-Bar Row
2plates x 10
2p,25lb x 8
3p x 8
D1) Lat Pulldown
120 x 10, 10, 10
D2) Lateral Raise
20 x 12, 12, 12
E1) BB Curl
60 x 8, 8, 8
E2) Kayak Row
25 x 8
27.5 x 8
Eating a few less carbs on deload day but otherwise diet remaining mostly the same. Don’t see why I would eat nearly 400g carbs hitting weights that small.
I have been itching to bench for 2 weeks because of my shitty bench performance on the last cycle. I just suck at benching above 3 reps and was determined to do better today. Mission accomplished.
Also I was totally gassed after my max bench set and every other exercise suffered. I’m blaming it on the deload. Body was just totally unprepared for the workout, though it might have been because I hit the gym earlier than usual and my body likes routines.
Workout:
A1) Bench
105 x 5
130 x 5
155 x 3
-work sets-
175 x 5
200 x 5
225 (5+ ) x 8.999 had the bar an inch from lockout and some dude ran over and grabbed the bar and racked it because he thought I was failing or something. To be fair I was twisting my body in a weird way to get it up and I prob shouldn’t have gone for the 9th rep. Happy with 8.
A2) Yates Rows
135 x 12
155 x 10
175 x 8 (PR 20lb) mighta been 7 reps, I forget
chins between sets of B) and C)… 24 reps total
B) DB Bench
85 x 9, 7, 7
C) CGBP
155 x 10
165 x 9 (PR 10lb)
165 x 9
D) Kroc Rows…really weak performance here, just totally gassed at this point
65 x 10
80 x 21
E) Preacher EZBar Curls
65 x 10
70 x 6 (PR 5lb)
70 x 6
Dunzo. Hot date tonight! Hopefully I don’t pass out during dinner.

Okay brought this over here.
Okay have you ever really gone heavy before? I mean have you been mostly doing BB type workouts?
Also what is your post workout intake?
When I was doing 5/3/1 I was really packing in the calories, if I didnt I would get serious DOMS.
I eat close to 5000 calories a day, including 100+ grams protein and 250+ grams carbs pre/during/after workout (periworkout drink plus postworkout meal an hour later)
Actually I haven’t gone above 3 reps on bench in a long ass time, and haven’t gone above 5 reps in even longer. I actually suck at 8rep bench - I hit a 290x1 about 8 weeks ago but could only eek out 220x7 4 weeks ago because I wasn’t used to it.
I think the rep range change (on the final set of 5/3/1) is what’s doing it… but it didn’t happen on my first cycle so I’m blaming the deload too.
For anyone who’s confused - we’re dissecting why I have DOMS all over my upper body today for the first time in like ever. I think it’s because of the deload week.

Why are you not getting more Protein?
How much fluid you drink a day?
How much do you sleep?
I would just have to say that increasing the reps range is what has done it.
Now just wonder how your LEGS are going to feel.

That was just my periworkout protein… I eat about 400g total a day.
I drink water all day long at my desk and at home… sleep rarely less than 7 hours (though I never feel refreshed and am always fatigued, an issue I am looking into).
I don’t even want to think about how my legs will feel wed/thurs after squats today.
