Numbers are looking great, your progressing so fast, I feel like a lazy git now![/quote]
Thanks man - eating a cow a day helps.

Sounds like you’ve really been chowing down!
Also tell me about it on the tall squatting thing, I’m 6’5", I like being tall but when squat day comes along I’m hating it!
Any tips you’d like to share for taller dudes?

First off, find out if you like back squats or front squats better… and stick with that one variation and get it down cold. I was doing each for a while and it was counterproductive to do both.
I think my form is pretty standard though. I do have to keep my feet fairly close (slightly outside shoulder width) because my hip flexibility aint so hot. Other than that, I mainly focus on keeping my elbows under the bar (instead of flaring out behind me) to make sure I’m not tempted to lurch forward on the way up.
Trial and error, and practice makes perfect.
Also, I’ll be out of town for work Sunday-Wednesday…timed nicely with my deload week so not too worried about lifting. Will try to cobble something together at my hotel gyms.
If anyone’s in MSP or Kansas City, give me a shout.
This is as good a back pic as you’ll get… horrid 1mp webcam, I couldn’t get my phone to take a picture of my back. All my mirrors are hella skinny and I’m not that talented. More pics to come.
solid physique man. Super thick upper back/rhomboids, and nice quad overhang as well. It’s really hard for us tall guys to fill out a big frame (that’s what she said) but it looks like you’re on the right path. And as far as the stomach thing - it’s not nearly as bad as you let on. I kinda have the same thing though. I flex my abs in all my pics but if i let it all hang out i have a gut even at a very low body fat %. Just a genetic thing I guess. Great work though man. What are your plans for the future - are you going to keep on gaining or diet or what? I think you look good and not fat at all, so bulk = win. I’d keep gaining, but that’s just me…!

Haha there’s a reason I didn’t include side relaxed! Sucking it in ftw. When I’m at my desktop I’ll post a side relaxed from when I was 195 and you’ll see what I mean.
Current plan is to bulk till I’m a little happier with my size… maybe 235-240 by end of year, then hold that weight for a month or two, and cut down to have HAWT ABZ by next summer.
Yeah man good plan! When I started my gaining at the beginning of summer I thought I’d get to 240 by the end of the year but it’s tough. I don’t think force feeding more scale weight would necessarily make gaining muscle easier (to a point), so I’m taking it slow, but I def wanna have teh abzzzz for next summer. Until then I don’t give a fuuuuuark
For a girl you’re pretty solid…
Dude, I did atg squats last night (first time ever with high bar placement) and let’s just say I was humbled. Your vid is actually what inspired me to see if my knees could handle 'em.
Yeah dude I’d totally let you spot me on some deep squatz

You realize you said a girl inspired you to lift harder?
For me, wider stance/toes out sets the weight more in the hips (which I’m not flexible enough for) and closer stance/toes forward hurts my knees. It’s just about finding the sweet spot. For me, it’s slightly outside shoulder width with toes pointed out about 30-45degrees

Yeah, I “practiced” my technique off and on throughout the day with just bw to see how my knee felt. I knew I could do it when I could break parallel with minimal knee pain. I’m shooting for a 365 atg oly squat within the next year. Race?
