No Curling In the Squat Rack Shirts

just whipped this up real quick.
shirts are done. you can customize any way you wish (pics, text, color of shirt, style of font). you can even select rather than a plain t-shirt, they offer micro-fiber ones that are similar to under armor material

jehova, did you make up this particular one?

That’s fuckin bad ass, I’m buying one! I may need to slightly add/ modify it according to douchery at my gym.

oh yeah, quality is amazing. and colors are bery bright.

i use that company for my work shirts.

only downside is on the micro fiber shirts, the color is amazing (of course this one is just text), but you can see the stitching outline for the text box.

Think I may have to get one too.

You go to a gym for a squat session and there is a guy in “your” squat rack curling 175+ with good form… you’re gonna stand there with your stupid shirt on telling him he needs to get the fuck out because “I gots some goddamn squats to do!”…?

riiiight.

please, i hardly see anyone adding more than 25 lbs per side on the BB

besides, if you can curl that much, deadlifting it shouldn’t be a problem at all

My thoughts exactly…that was not a very good take with the 175lb curl example.

Also note that the shirt lists all kinds of douchy exercises, not just curling in the squat rack.

Put it this way, if I see a grand total of three people actually “working out” at my gym, I will gladly take the shirt off and burn it and announce on the PA system that I was wrong and I’m a bitch. It’s not going to happen so I have nothing to worry about.

I do anything between 110 and 135 at the moment on the squat rack because it’s the only suitable space for them… I do pick the weight from the ground though and leave room for people to squat if they so wish.

Why not? I See them almost every week.

Yup I agree some were valid points.

There’s always hope…

If you leave room for someone to squat in the squat rack than you’re not curling in the squat rack…

just my 2 cents but i think itd be better if on the front it read “NO CURLING IN THE SQUAT RACK” in bold black lettering just to get the point across quickly rather than just having to read the list on the back.

i like that idea, will add like $2

I don’t know how wearing a belt or using machines puts you in the same category as tools who misuse gym equipment. Maybe I’m just not hardcore.

if you used said machines on shirt, then, no you’re not :stuck_out_tongue:

I dont keep the bar on the rack, but if someone wants to use it when I curl they still have to bring in another bar and work in between sets.

In short I don’t like these kinda shirts because of their holier than thou attitude… it just aint worth the hazzle for me to bring or call negative attention when I’m training, but I can understand where many of you are coming from since I’ve also had the misfortune of training in a gym full of asshats and it is also the way I started out before I knew better.

Maybe it would be better to instead print something informative on your shirt and maybe help at least one of those SRC people to “see the light”.

Stop being a party pooper. A fucking TRAINER at my gym curls the BB and like 10’s on each side in the squat rack. Fucking homo. If he does that shit, then guess what, I’m buying that damn shirt and wearing it proud throughout my gym. Fuck anyone else who cares. What are they gonna do? Tell me how offensive my shirt is? LOL

Adjusted it SLIGHTLY to match my gym, and added a Headline…

My Updated shirt to suite my gym…and my feelings…slightly altered by like 1 line…

I’m with R@ne. I can’t even barbell curl anywhere in my gym unless it’s in one of the 2 racks that maybe 10 people ever squat in, me being one of them. He’s right about the holier than thou attitude also…“then you can deadlift instead” (paraphrasing) wtf is that gonna do for your biceps? I deadlift and curl…don’t you? Barbell curls are the best isolated exercise you can do for the largest part of your bicep why must I continue to see such a big deal being made out of this?

If a blue moon comes and someone needs the squat rack I’m curling in to actually squat I could easily make haste…hell, it’s curls - it’s fast between sets, you’re in and you’re out. You guys remind me of a bunch of wannabe purists…whatever. I’m in a bad mood now, time to go curl in the squat rack.

a curl is a curl. no matter if you use a BB, DB or a bag of rocks. the biceps cause flexion of the arm, there’s nothing magical about BB curls.
