Anyone watch this show on G4? It is oddly addicting.
So is “Unbeatable Banzuke”.

I’m watching it right now.
Fucking love it.
I’d love to give it a shot someday. I’m pretty sure I could get past the first stage, but the second and third just look like a rape waiting to happen.
BTW, Nagano is 5’ 2" and 132 lbs. Crazy.
It is the most awesome show on TV, and one of the only reasons to get cable.
They had some white guy on there the other day - he was like 230 or so, and dwarfed the set. It was kind of funny. He looked like an adult playing in the McD’s playground.
That and Unbeatable Banzuke are about the only reasons to watch G4.
I think I could take the first stage save for the fucking wall. That looks brutal.

Yeah, that dude is fucking insane. He would have won it all last year, but he was too big for the obstacle where you have to sidle the straight bar down the two sets of bars. He did really bad this year, though, but I can’t remember why. Anyway, he’s a beast and fun just to watch.
If I made it on that show, I know I’d be one of the scrubs who washes out in Part I. It’s just incredible to watch and I can’t wait until the next new competition comes around.
Probably my favourite show on TV. I DVR the shit out of it. And I think any of us would be able to get past the 1st stage.
The 20th competition will air in May on G4, it was held at the end of March.
The American competitor is no joke this time around (since it was in March the results are already in obviously).

I like AOTS. The chick is pretty hot, and the guy is witty enough to make me laugh.
I hate the show about the vid games. Well I hate the hosts. That girl is a hold over from the Leo Laporte days. She was a dog then, and has not improved at all. The guy looks like he’s on meth, or something.
As for the first stage - no way I get passed that wall. I jump like an accountant.

The wall seems hard, but don’t forget most of the people competing are short, so if you are about 5’10", getting over the wall won’t be as hard as it is for the ones that are 5’4".

Let me rephrase - I jump like George Costanza.
Don’t tell me about the results, I love this shit.
Nagano is a beast, straight up.
He is very strong for his size, which is all you need, because the deadlift portion(end of rd 2 i think) is like 150lb on the heaviest one or something, it’s sad.
Anyways, the course is not built for big people.
Ideal person to take on the course is…IMO
5ft2-5ft8
low body fat
high muscular endurance
phenomenal grip strength
explosive power with entire body
I think I would do pretty well, but the salmon ladder, and i definitely would not make it past level 3, my grip would give for sure or my muscular endurance would fail, and I’m pretty good with pull ups too, but it just looks too difficult. I’d love to try it though, it looks fun as hell.
Excuse the ignorance, but I don’t watch much tv. What is G4 and how do I catch this show?

I don’t know what cable provider you have, but I get it on digital with comcast. It’s like a gaming/technology channel. There’s probably youtube clips of ninja warrior out there.
sent in a tryout vid at one pt
Wow that made my hands hurt just watching it.
30 seconds on the MXC video was so funny.
This guy FTW: http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2007/sasuke-obstacle-course-p1.php
Wikipedia has a ton of (cool, time-wasting) info: Sasuke (TV series) - Wikipedia
BTW: www.revision3.com + www.twit.tv (especially now that Leo is starting video) + podcast.cnet.com is close to what TechTV was.
