Ninja Tabi Shoes?

Does anyone were these? Are they comfortable? I was just in Nepal and Thailand and i saw a few people wearing them. They look pretty cool.

I guess if you want to be lame, you could wear ninja shoes…

But if you wanna be ultra-cool, the only way to go is scuba, like this ultra-cool dude I found on google image search. Anybody who is anybody wears a full set of mask, snorkel, and especially – dive fins – everywhere they want to look cool like at bars and restaurants and shit.

The last three chicks I banged said they only talked to me becasue I was completely decked out in full scuba gear. Remember what the letters stand for:

Super
Cool
Ultra
Bad-ass
Attire

Get some scuba, get some diving in. You know what kind of diving I’m talking about.

I’ve been living in Japan for the last 15 years or so, so I’ve never had a problem buying jika-tabi at the local hardware store. They cost about 10 bucks for the basic 8-fastener mid-ankle models, but my recommendation is to spend a little extra for the 12-fastener heavy-duty models. These have corrugated rubber soles, and the uppers are impregnated with a water-resistant resin, which keeps the mud out nicely.

As I mentioned in the Tiger Country article, they are ideal for jungle trekking, or any sort of outdoor acivity where there will be relatively soft ground.

They are very comfortable, surprisingly long-wearing, and yes, very cool.

That’s one way to find out who the latex fetishists are. :stuck_out_tongue:

Scientifically speaking, were they into latex too?

Not so much as you might imagine. Most guys waste so much time dressing up like ninjas to impress girls when all the chicks want is a guy with a massive air tank strapped to his back. And big-ass blue flippers on his feet. And a waterproof mask. And a snorkel.

The guy in this picture scores like Pele – take my word for it.

Yeah, I agree. I always thought those ninja guys were nothing but posers. ;0)

Well, you can, but better to wear the tabi socks underneath, or things could get a little rank. There are winter and summer varieties.

No, God wears it in heaven. Al Bundy was just the messenger in a bathrobe. Get your syndicated TV sitcom episodes straight, man.

I used to wear these when prawning upriver when I was living in Hawaii.

Good gripping shoes! I dunno about wearing them to be fashionable though.

It was all about being functional.
