Ninja Assassin

Just wondering, the reviews haven’t been to good, has anyone seen it? I want to go to see it but don’t want to waste my time if it sucks. So, far the reviews have been " NO plot, too much pointless action, where’s the story line" …Which sounds like the perfect fucking action movie actually, I don’t want a storyline although it would be good, and pointless action is kick ass. So, has anyone seen it?

I wanna see it as well, but, to me, the perfect action movie was Die Hard … a lot of action and witty lines and a decent plot and sub-plots.

But, this movie looks like a def. guys night out kinda movie … I brought it up last night with my gf and she was like, Looks like a good movie to see with your friends  … sahweet

I saw it, and personally thought it was a badass movie. I guess you could say the plot was kinda lame, but the martial arts and fight scenes were some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Have to say though, the amount of blood was pretty comical at several points, but I guess they wanted to add that little edge to the movie.

Wait till you see the main character’s (Raizo) physique…holy shit. Girls would definitely dig him, not so much the rest of the movie.

Overall rating: 7.5/10

I would like to second this motion.

That movie was pure greatness, lots of blood, lots of killing. Epic fight sccenes.

Martial arts movies are never strong on plot. Sounds like the action parts are worth it.

The Protector comes to mind. Did that movie even have a plot? Something about elephants. Great fight scenes though.

Normally I don’t care that much about action movie plot (second the motion on The Protector, one of my favorite martial arts movies) but something with this didn’t click well with me.

The CGI and blood were way, way, way too overused for me (was almost comical sometimes, especially the wind slicing effect with the chains EVERY TIME) although the end of the movie was pretty awesome.

Well…I enjoyed it. Even more so after suffering through New Moon with my wife. Not only was it ninjas(worthy enough on it’s own)…but it had actual blood, guts, and real violence…something that is missed dearly in so-called action movies these days.

I loved how they had the lead with a kusarigama other than a typical ninjato/katana.

Wait, you saw New Moon? WHAT!

Also, who the hell is that in your avatar??

Yeah…I saw it because I wanted some ass…when you’re married you have to sell yourself out from time to time. I try taking it…but my wife is descended from a Kogu ninja clan. Although,I had to watch Ninja Assassin to keep my nuts from retreating into my groin.

And,damn…I’ve had this avatar so long that I’ve forgotten who it is…lol. I stumbled upon it while looking up stuff about comic book publishers…I will get back with you on that.

I just can’t imagine a woman above the age of 20 would want to see Twilight. But hey, do what you got to do, Boss.

Let me know who that is as soon as possible. It bothers me not knowing a comic book character.

Well,my wife had never read the books or anything…her “above the age of 20” female friends turned her onto the crap. She thought the movie was lame for adults but was intrigued enough to see it anyways.

In fact we had a discussion about how there is a double-standard in adult women swooning over a teenager’s “hot body”…yet if a dude does the same he is a pervert and pedophile.

I almost made a thread about that…but that would give away that I watched New Moon…lol.

I was really looking forward to seeing a good action movie and was so unimpressed. I thought it was lame. I was quite bored actually.

Well Edward is 109 years old tho…

I just confessed I watched it. However, the only reason I went to watch it was to get poon like BB did.

I need to go see NA if there is blood, guts, gore, and GOOD fight scenes to wash the gayness out of me.

Yes,Ninja Assassin was plot-less and was over-the-top in areas…BUT it’s perfect for “the boys” to recover after suffering through New Moon.

Oh…and I was referring to Jacob. Some of the comments and reactions to him from 30-something women were just retarded.

x3, definitely not a deep movie, but if you go into this movie expecting that you are a fucking idiot in the first place. Nothing like awesome fight scenes, blood, gore (you knew the moment you saw a ninja movie with an R rating that people were going to get their heads chopped off, and sure enough in the first 5 mins! Hell to the Mother f’n yes) and a decent plot to move the movie along.

Personally, I liked Ong-Bak the Thai Warrior much much more than The Protector. That guy pulls off some pretty incredible feats of athleticism.

I’ll probably wait until Ninja Assassin comes out on DVD. I love it how they advertise it as made from the creators of the Matrix Trilogy. The first one was awesome and the last 2 blew chunks so fucking bad.

Its never too late to post about the hypocrisy that is Twinkling Vampire Boys being hounded by 40 year old women.

i lubbed it. action blood nice story, imo. kind of like the more old fashioned storylines which i prefer in this type of film. great hero. yeah, ima girl.
i did enjoy the protector and blood and bone, too.

I see a billboard for it on the train every day. I thought it was a video game. Looks kind of cool, I guess. Once in a blue, Hollywood needs to make a martial arts movie to appease all of the Asian actors who’re out of work. =P J/k, of course, but it’s kind of true.
