I just want to get back in the gym right now and use what I’m feeling constructively. I don’t care about the relationship; I’ve been in a couple different relationships since the start of this log and apparently I don’t let the break-ups themselves bother me and put me in a foul mood. It’s just the emotional toll this past break-up took on my esteem.
Anyway, I have to get caught up on some logs in PW.

Back in my gym today. My gym class yesterday was a 1-mile walk test, some machines and I did about 25 minutes of cardio. Eck.
They took our BP in class and mine is 135/91. I’m so mad, my BP is never high and I know that it’s perfect since I just had to have it taken before my surgery.
The guy who took the BP said it could be stress. Well no shit.
Good workout today though. For the next month, I’m implementing a 3-day split, since I’m not really doing anything in my gym class right now. Day 1 and 3, I do heavy DL, light squats (most likely front squats), back/bis/calves. On Day 2, I’m doing heavy squat, light DL (most likely conventional or SLDL), chest/shoulders/tris/calves. Alternating weeks they inverse, if that makes sense. Like, Day 2 will be Day 1 and 3, and Day 1 will be Day 2. Anyway…
Highlights of my workout today was 185x2 (rep PR) and 200x1x2 (PR… twice!) Snatch DL. Finally made it out of the 190s.
Tried front squats again, I think I got the hang of it. Highest I went to was 65 for 10 or less reps. Like I said, light squat.
Did the extended sets for the prone leg curl machine (single leg curl, 2/1, double leg curl). Did some GHRs, not sure if I’m doing them right b/c they feel easy. If anyone has a video of how to do a GHR on a machine, I’ll be much obliged ![]()
And leg press, high and wide. Starting to become a favorite for my hammies.
Seated leg curl FST-7 and straight arm pulldown FST-7. Ended with biceps, calves, and 20 minutes HiiT on TM at an incline; I used different inclines so can’t remember.

Your boyfriend sounds like a dick. I think it’s awesome that you do the exercises you do. My sister is a petite girl and only runs on the treadmill for fear of getting to big if she touches weights. I actually used you as a representative for someone who hits heavy weights and has a killer body. Congrats on getting back to the grindstone.

Mm…squatters ass…gets me every time. There’s one boy at my gym that literally makes me dizzy, he’s just beyond juicy and delicious. Has impeccable form and some impressive spinal erectors…drool.

Eh, didn’t do much today. The HiiT yesterday had my shins screaming today, but I decided to do the optional 1.5 mile run in my gym class today. Time was 14:05, so I’m proud of that.

You know about facing backward on the lat pulldown machine with your feet hooked in the knee pad things, right? Just another idea!
You know what gets me like no other? single leg hypers that I play around with. That combined with lunges and I can feel my glutes flexing when I walk for a few days after.
I’m hitting hammies on Friday, I’ll get a vid of it.
I saw the lat pulldown version but our lat pulldown is next to the calves machine and I am prone to accidents… nuff said.
