Loved your videos. My squat rack is a “LifeFitness” one as well. I hate that I can’t adjust the rails!
Thanks Kim ![]()
Yeah, I prefer a cage so I can go as low as I want, but as long as that depth is acceptable ![]()
Operation went well, had my boyfriend and mom with me. So tumor’s gone and I’m back home wishing I had stronger fucking pills cuz it’s hurting like a bitch right now.
Anyway, about to eat for the first time since 7 last night so I’ll check in on everyone’s log in a few.
-Nikki <3
get well soon!
sending feel good vibes and wishes for a speedy recovery !
Thanks N and Power ![]()
I threw up twice (damn anesthesia and BBQ from Sonny’s doesn’t mix) and I’m just all around miserable.
Meanwhile, I’ll be here feeding off the energy of everyone else’s workouts and logs ![]()
Hope you feel better soon! Glad to hear it went well.
Glad the surgery was a success, get well soon so you can get back to rockin out in the gym!
Hey Nikki! Glad the surgery went well. Get some rest and take care of yourself! Hope u feel better soon.
Good to hear that the surgery went well and I appreciate the inebriated posting ![]()
Hope you feel better!

That’s my girl! So tell me, on a scale of 1-fucking incredible, how awesome are deadlifts?[/quote]
wait a minute! i have bad internet so i never get to keep a close tab on the logs–but have you only recently tried deadlift? if so you’re a badass!! I am really impressed! you’re going to shred up those numbers-- SOON.
and good mornings are tricky–for em at least it took a while to figure out how to do em right. they seemed pointless to me for the longest time because i did them wrong, but you sound like you have em going good because you are feeling em in your lower back.-- they defiantly demand some lower back tight-tight-strength. Sometimes i can’t even do em if i’m too fatigued.
now i have to see if i can find your new bench pr…someone just mentioned it…you’re really improving so much! you should be very proud!
Thank you Loves ![]()
I just took some medicine so I’m responding before I pass out.
I just recently started DLing heavy. Before I started this log, I never did anything over 100#.
I sure hope I’m doing GMs right; I stick my hips way out with slightly bent knees and bend over to parallel. Definetely hard on my lower back but they’re great for hammies.
My bench PR is probably around 105-115. I did decide to have a little fun and try 145 with my spotter’s assistance. He said that he was “like a guide” and he helped me rack the bar after I was trying to push the bar up for 10 seconds. Whenever I can go hard in the gym again, I’ll get a vid of my bench PR with absolutely no assistance.
I know that I can do 95x3 without assistance so 105-115 PR is probably about right.
Nikki, I hope you are feeling better soon. You’ll be kicking ass when you get back in the gym!
Thanks Kim, I hope so.
The past two nights I’ve been doing some light stuff (less than 30 minutes with long rests), mainly for my legs. Although I did do DB pullovers last night which didn’t hurt that bad, thankfully.
I just really don’t want my body to forget everything and have to start from zero.
Anyway, first day at school so I had to buy my books which are terribly heavy for my wound (the cashier was kind enough to put them in a cute tote for me though).
Going to see how I can work things out in my gym class for the next few classes.
K, back to studying for me.
In gym class, I did 5 minutes at 8 different cardio machines (first month the coach is telling us what to do, part of a really LONG orientation)
There’s rower, elliptical, 2 different bikes, versaclimber, TM, stairmill and stairstepper.
Wow, I remembered.
The coach was upset that my HR was too high… whatever.
Tomorrow I think I’m going to the gym. I should be able to do some light leg work. I had an appointment to see the surgeon tomorrow but something came up, and apparently he’s not working Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, the only days I can see him.
So screw it, I don’t need to pay $25 to hear “Yep, you’re doing good” anyway.
Sup beyatch! I’m glad to see your recouping and feeling good enough to get back into the gym. Yay!
Sounds like your doing the GMs perfect with the way you described them.
What is this gym class you speak of? Are you getting some sort of cert or do you need to take phys ed as a requirement? Do tell…
You know how I feel about docs. Unless something hurts, is bleeding or smells like rotting flesh, i’d say don’t worry about it and just get your rest and eat your yogurt (yogurt cures everything, EVERYTHING!).

Yep, I’m healing pretty nicely.
Gym class in college. I need another elective and figured it’ll be fun to take a gym class. I love it though, great people. And they all want to do cardio mostly so that means no waiting for machines during class ![]()
Yep, that’s how I’m feeling about the situation right now too. It’s not hurting and he’s just going to say that I’m doing fine.
I’m eating my yogurt right now ![]()
Legs today (not going to do chest or back until next… Friday, maybe)
I did high reps, felt a tad weaker ![]()
Nothing to say, 75 x 15 x 5 squats, 75 x 15 x 3 stiff-leg DLs, and did some machines.
And my workout partner kept looking at me and asking if I was going to pass out. Ha.
Ooh, then we did 30 minutes HiiT on the TM. Well I did. My partner doesn’t like TMs, but I made him go on the TM next to me anyway.
I was wiped out, then 5 minutes later I was like “I feel like I can do more.” But I didn’t, I just talked to the gym peeps that I didn’t see in forever, then showered.
So that’s my day.

HA! To both college gym classes and the “Yep, you’re doing good” comment.
Don’t laugh Baboon, you’ll be charging $25 to your patients just to tell them “Yeah, that’s gotta be taken care of soon. Can some med students poke you? K, bye.” ![]()
Arms today.
Still being wary of some stuff, but I did more than I thought I could.
Chins and dips did hurt a bit though, so only did one set of those.
Tried close grip bench press for the first time today too, highest I went was 65 x 8 I believe.
Then 45 minutes HiiT, not including warm up and cooldown; 15 on TM, 15 on elliptical, 15 on stairstepper.
I forgot how much I love HiiT. I easily did it 4-5 times a week a few months ago. Glad I started back again, I do need to drop some BF ![]()
My favorite part of doing the cardio afterwards is seeing how the sweat looks on my muscles ![]()
Yeah, I’m vain.
