Why buy Nike Frees over converse all stars?

Chucks for the gym.

They’re not terribly stylish though.

I just rolled my ankle in 7.0 free cross trainers about 2 hours ago.

I’ve had the shoes for a few months and they’ve been great, until today. Even then, I don’t think I can really blame the shoe for what happend.

I’ll give them one more chance.

Because the Nike Frees are better shoes. Why else?

I’m looking to get a pair of Frees, do y’all just go to the store to get them or do you order them online?

And if they do have them at stores are they in funky ass color schemes?
I get mine online because I can design them any way I want. Most of the ones I’ve seen in stores look like the designer was color blind.

I have these, although they weren’t on sale when I got them. They look horrible on the website, but in real life they’re very sharp. The black and the red are both much darker and more vivid. While the overall design of the shoe isn’t spectacular, the colors are pretty slick in real life.

The 7.0 is great the whole point is that hey are lower so they arent a crutch for your ankle. Wearing high tops just makes your ankle weaker, kinda like your back gets a better workout without a belt or your grip getting stronger with out wraps. same concept. Ive never rolled my ankle and Ive been wearing mine since the summer through football practice, pickup basketball, lifting, walking around, they are great.

I was in the Nike factory outlet store and bought the yellow and black 7.0 trainers for $29.99. Go a half size larger than normal. BTW, these are my 3rd pair. IMHO, there are no better trainers.

I own more than 40 pairs of shoes. Jordans, iversons, chucks, you name them. I was never completely satisfied with any of my shoes performance wise until i bought a pair of frees 5.0 from the outlet for 30 bucks and they are the best shoes ive ever owned and will be the only shoes i will wear for the rest of my life. They added 2 inches to my vertical jump

Ditto. I just received mine in the mail on Monday via UPS. A little bit pricier than my 5.0 Trainers but at least I can wear these other places than just in the gym.

You can do that? Sweet.

Hey digitalair, do you own the 5.0 or the 5.0V2, have you tried the 7.0? I’m actually looking for a new shoe to do some of my box jumps and hurdle jumps and stuff, and your testimant is about all I need to hear to at least try them.

Here’s the 5.0V2, I think the only diff is there no material over the back of the foot, kinda half sandal/half shoe, actual looks pretty good.

These shoes look interesting and I would like to try em out but first I have one concern.

I have horribly flat feet and I wear custom orthodics in my shoes all the time. Regardless, I have never had a single foot or ankle problem in my entire life with or without the orthodics in my shoes (I’m 20). Does it defeat the purpose of the shoe if I put my orthodics in there? I ask because these seem like flexible shoes and am not sure if they are made for people with absolutely no arch. This may sound like a stupid question but I just have no idea.

I vouch for these shoes, what I hate is how most athletic shoe makers don’t make different widths. I wear a 10.5-11E, and I’m wearing 12.5 Nike Free’s because Nike is incapable of releasing different widths for shoes that cost $90.
I finally broke down and bought some and I have the same problem. Nike has always been a bitch about shoe widths for some reason. We need a petition or something.

I just bought mine last week and so far I like them. They don’t have a very high heel, and I like just a little heel raise. I didn’t like the way my chuck’s felt when I squatted, just too flat. I also like the way the Nike’s have a lateral edge, it feels sturdy when needing to stand still. I tried some of the flat heeled Nikes, but they were more for dancing and felt very narrow.

here’s another angle

I have 2 pair of Jordans (Nike) and 9.5 fits perfectly. In your opinion should I buy 10?

Another dude on another thread mentioned he went down a full size and they fit good. Im confused.

Even Nike recommends that these stay true to size. I think some people are confused on what size shoe they really wear. I buy a size 13 (the same as my other shoes) and they fit fine. When designing them online it tells you to pick your regular shoe size. Between people complaining about the width of the shoe and how elevated it is, I can only come to the conclusion that some of these people have problems no matter what shoe they buy.
