Thanks, guys.
I’ve had a pair of Puma H Streets for 2 years and they hold up very well. The sole is worn and smooth, but it’s a perfect (and stylish) flat shoe for lifting. They also weigh like 4 ounces.
After reading this thread, I went to try some on. The 5.0 are unreal. They didn’t have my size though, so I got some chucks to hold me over. I’m in canada right now and they are $120cdn, so I’m going to pick up a pair next month when I’m in Florida, sounds like they are much cheaper in the US.
Nike should be giving T-Nation a commission on free sales!

WHAT?
I was looking forward to getting some this weekend, but now it looks like I’ll be trying them on and eBaying it up…
I’ll get a second pair of Chucks this weekend though…
We picked ours up at the Nike Outlet store for about $40/pair.

Most of those are ugly as hell though. You can make your own online and design them the way you want. They take 4 weeks to get to you and cost about 90-100 bucks, but you get what you pay for…plus you make it possible for some 5 year old in Budapest to find work.

Yup…my local “mega” sports store, SportChek had them for $110, foot locker was $120 and another store was $125.

Maybe - but mine are all black, just like my women.
My wife’s frees are really quite pretty - if a guy is allowed to describe shoes like that.
I bet the same 5 year-old that made my 40 dollar frees made your custom colored 100 dollars ones - unless she got promoted.
I have a question about buying online.
I own an older pair of 7.0 trainers that fit but are tight at size 13
I tried on 5.0 v2 size 13 and they were too small
I tried on the newer 7.0 trainers size 14 and they were too big
If I buy a pair of 5.0 v3 size 14 online is it safe to say they will fit? I’ve been having a very hard time finding frees that fit me at actual stores.
Thanks
Best feel of any shoe I’ve bought in a long time maybe ever. I do have narrow feet though.
And I’m glad I held out on these until the 7.0 v1 trainers came out. Why’d they take so long to finally make this shoe look tight? No amount of customizing could save the looks of those earlier models.

I’ll try to shed some light as of right now I have 3 different types:
-5.0 Trainers v1 is a size 12 which I found in the store as they didn’t have 11.5’s which is what I normally wear
-7.0 trainers v1 are a size 11.5 which I bought online and at first I thought were a little tight but it ends up they fit great right now.
-7.0 runners are a size 11.5 which I bought at a store I wish I had gotten them in 12’s or went with the 5.0’s
Tried on the 7.0 trainers v2 and didn’t care for them much at 11.5 or 12 I much prefer my v1’s
this is bullshit! i fell in love with the look of those puma h streets, i tried looking EVERYWHERE for them. online and everything. noone has a 12. noone seems to have a size over 7 for that matter. effin bastards! if any knows where to get 12s let me know. thanks
I bought 3 pairs in the last month at different occasions. I’m addicted and they’re the only shoes that I wear for now. I want to buy a pair of chucks in the future, although I believe that they are ugly.
7.0 runners, sz 10
5.0 runners, sz 9.5 - my favorite so far, they’re so comfortable and more flat than 7.0’s
7.0 trainers (bauer), sz 9.5 - has a mid strap, which feels restricting but its really good for side stepping.

Lies!
Chucks are stylin!
I see them all over the place too.
just a quick ?.
How durable are the 5.0s? I have read reviews of them online where people attest to them falling apart in 2 months, and this is not acceptable for a $90 shoe.

Has anyone seen these shoes? They are supposed to be like walking/running in bare feet.

If you want shoes that simulate bare feet try the Vibram Five Fingers.
