I just was told by my guy doing my nutrition for my BB comp that in the last 2 weeks I may need to use nicotine patches to help decrease bf to 5%.
I will be honest. This doesn’t sound like the best idea in the world. This guy use to be a competive BB but I’m starting to second guess his cutting decisions. Though maybe I’m just nieve when it comes to actually knowing what it really takes.
Amoung other things I’m suppose to get on Dandelion Weed to aid as a diuretic come the last week or some other over-the-counter drug. Vandyle-Sulfate too. Who uses this stuff anymore?
you definately don’t want to end up a nicotine addict, the dandelion and other botanicals may help with shedding some subcutaneous water right before competition.
The addiction from the nicotine is just a minor issue. Nicotine is very hard on the heart. Especially when you are using the patches. What strength of patch was this dummy planning on using anyways.
I know the patch can be dangerous under certain conditions even for a smoker who is used to nicotine. I can only imagine how dangerous the patch would be for somebody who ISN’T used to nicotine!
I assuming it would have been a low dosage patch. But the it was just something he threw out there during my weekly conversation with him.
It was unusual he was like, “we need to do this, this, this, and maybe throw in some nicotine patches towards the comp date.” Then he was like talk to you next week.
I was like, hmmm nicotine patches. I’m not sure that I want to do that.
One of the interesting things about training for this BB comp is that I don’t know what is bull-shit and what is true. Everyone person I talked to seems to have there own training, diet, and last minute prep theories.
Its getting so damn confusing its hard to sort threw everything. Such as should I stay with the carb-cycling, should I go with a seafood specific diet, should I water load, use nicotine patches or diuretics?
The kicker out of all of this is that its not cheap learning this stuff. I have already spent like $500 for the nutrition plan and training advice and I feel like I haven’t learned anything usefull. Nothing I couldn’t have read here.
Maybe the question I should be asking is does anyone recommend someone that helped them with there pre-comp training that is good?
Allthough they have not helped me with pre-comp preparation, Thiba- ah, hell, C.T. and Waterbury seem to have gotten some very good results for people.
Given that you are willing to pay for advice, and they are consultants in this field, you may want to contact them about the services they offer.

This is probably a stupid question but do they have there own personal websites with different products you can purchase, like Beradi’s?
