Richard Sherman crushes Skip Bayless!

So awesome. I hate Bayless. I loved how they had to keep cutting away from Steven A Smith cause he was laughing lol
Dude. I am now forever in your debt. I cant stand Bayless and i mised this.

“In 24 years at life, I am better at life than you”.
Part of me loves seeing this and part of me is dissappointed. Sherman should of been the better man here. He is an professional and should act so. No matter how much you despise someone. But again, it was enjoyable if I had to be honest.
Lol

But to be honest, Skip Bayless is a no talent hack who makes his career by ripping people and making outlandish statements.

He ripped of Sherman because of his twitter back n forth with Revis. What is Sherman supposed to do? Not respond? I don’t fault him one bit for his response. He gave Bayless a little taste of his own medicine.

Skip didn’t know how to respond and I bet he didn’t feel too good about being bashed like that. Maybe he’ll think twice next time before he runs his mouth… But probably not.

I get it and I would have said something as well. But still, handle yourself professionally. Call him on it, get your point across, and let it go. He didnt. He continued on throughout the interview. That much wasnt needed and in the end, it didnt do any good for him. Im glad he did because someone sure as hell needed to but not to that extent.

^^i agree. He could have punked him and then let it go.

Did you really expect this guy to just let things go?

My take on the clip: Sherman made himself look like a fool. I dislike Bayless as much as the next guy who hates what his character has turned into, but it’s just that, a character. Dude does what he does to get ratings, and while it actually turns me away from the show a lot, it apparently gets swarms of people to tune into it. He went to Vanderbilt on an academic scholarship, and has a journalistic resume that measures like the dick HorsePuss’s girl took now dreams about nightly.

Sherman had a chance to come off amazing in this the way he started(“my tape speaks for itself, my numbers speak for themselves, my tape is my resume”) but he couldn’t keep up the facade of ‘intelligent and well spoken person who is prepared to actually have a conversation and debate with Skip’ and had to start slinging. Him closing talking about how Skip is just a pompous ego that argues with nothing but opinions and avoids facts is so incredibly ironic given what he laid out for those 3 minutes before. Why didn’t he go to the argument about how Skip loses credibility because of the way he argues earlier? That would’ve been a fantastic debate, much along the lines of the one Cuban had with him.

Skip isn’t clean in the clip either, but he contained himself pretty fucking well all things considered, and seemed to legitimately want to steer the ‘conversation’ towards at least somewhat relevant topics like where Sherman sees himself going forward now that he accomplished his goal of being all-pro, and why he thinks he deserves to be on Revis Island. Stephen A pretty clearly wanted that too when he tried to get his ‘guys stop it’ in, but Sherman was on a mission to make himself look better, which IMO failed fucking miserably.

TLDR: I agree with Bill Simmons: I thought it was awful and embarrassing to everyone involved. Seriously. But what bothers me about the reaction to that segment is people saying Richard Sherman “won.” Nobody won. Everyone lost. Including ESPN.

You are both confusing cap numbers with how much they will actually be paid.
Oh maybe, I don’t really know how the cap vs. actual $'s works in the NFL.
Just keep in mind that NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed, and you’re fine. (only signing bonuses are, if you’re truly keeping track)

As such, there’s 0% chance that Flacco will play out that contract as-is. He’ll either re-structure down the road or be released by the team. But for now anyway, he does get to wear the crown.

You’re right. The FA signing period hasn’t started yet but fairly certain we’ll hear his name again before we hear where Burner or R Moss land.

Gotcha, that makes sense.

I won because i was entertained.

Well James Harrison is out the door. So it goes…

I hope they don’t try to put Timmons on the edge full time because no one else can do the job. Worilds doesn’t scare anybody and Woodley who fucking knows what he’ll do next season.

Maybe they’ll draft a LB who like to smash QB’s. Big shoes to fill though.

Seagulls traded their first-round pick for Percy Harvin. Niners responded by getting Anquan Boldin for a sixth-round pick. Also, the rumor mill is indicating that the Niners are interested in Ed Reed and CB Sean Smith from Miami once free agency hits.

I love the Boldin trade. Not so sure how I feel about the possibility of Reed or Smith coming to the City by the Bay. Reed is not the player he once was and I suspect that he’ll be overpaid. Smith is intriguing but he struggles against fast receivers, which could be problematic when they face Seattle’s fast receivers in Golden Tate and Percy Harvin. He also is probably going to cost anywhere between 6 and 8 million a year, which I think is a bit steep for a player who is still inconsistent after four years in the league.

Thoughts?

Problem with Smith is inconsistency. One week he’ll look like a pro bowler and the next he just looks the drizzling shit. Good player of the bigger possession type receivers but the smaller speedy ones seem to cause him all types of problems. Also he needs to figure out a way to smuggle a catchers mit on the field or something, dude cannot catch for shit.

I still think he’d do well for the Niners though, just seems to need someone to bring that extra level of performance out of him.

6-8 million is overpaying but in his own words “He wants to get paid”

Pretty excited about the Boldin pick up and not too pumped about Harvin going to Seattle. I think Boldin is a very good receiver and a
Line up that involves Crabtree, Boldin, Manningham and VD would be awesome (lacking some speed though)

I’m worried about Harvin during the regular season because he is definitely a game changer but one the playoffs hit he’ll be a mom factor because he will have landed himself on IR by then.

I’m also hoping this will silence the Revis pick up talk.

I don’t want him. We wouldn’t be able to sign him long term, he’s not the fastest CB in the league and is coming off of an ACL surgery… Who knows if he’ll be the same guy? If you lose a step as a DB that has his speed you can forget about being a lockdown guy on the outside. Plus I think the guy is a total A Hole and could care less about his team or winning. The guy just wants to get paid and those aren’t the types of players that are wanted in SF.

Absolutely agree. I just cant see any team paying that much in salary or draft picks. He is way to risky.

I’m going to laugh my ass off when the Dolphins sign Mike Wallace to a ridiculous contract in 7 hours. Seriously, that dude has FA bust written all over him.

Sorry to see Harrison go but it had to happen. I would like to see a lot of the vets on defense get shown the door, and I am extremely pissed that they’re letting Keenan Lewis walk. The Woodley contract is going to fuck the Steelers in the ass for the next 2 seasons. He’s been stealing his paycheck every week since then.

Worilds is better on the left side. No idea why. He has shown flashes but I think he’s more of a Clark Haggans-type, where he’s just going to hold the position until they draft someone that actually has some pass rush ability. I’d like to see them get Clowney next year but he’ll probably be a top-5 pick. That hit/FF/FR/de-helmeting in the Outback Bowl is one of the most awesome defensive plays I’ve ever seen.

Does the QB in Miami even have an arm big enough to throw in front of Wallace?

It isn’t like Ben has a shitty arm, and even he under threw him now and again.

I’m all for fast receivers, but you need a QB that can make the throw first off.

I think the Boldin trade is nothing but good for the 9ers and makes them better. He is basically a small tight end at this point in time, and will do wonders underneither with the beast of a TE you guys already have.

I’m iffy on the Ed Reed signing. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Pats pick him up, but they have much bigger concerns than a center fielder right now.

Leave the rest of the Ravens alone, GOD DAMN IT!!

As you may recall I have a love hate relaisionship with Wallace. I definetly hate him now and hope he falls off the face of the earth. He’ll be the most expensive No.2 receiver who’s
getting paid like a No.1. He’ll make some splash plays but he can’t carry a team.

If they let Keenan Lewis walk after all the time they invested in him I’ll be shocked. I can’t believe they would be that stupid. The Steelers can be cheap cocksuckers though, painfully so.

Do you think they would draft Teo if he’s still there? They need a MLB. Sean Spence is not even close to being ready from what I’ve read.

If Mendenhall gets picked up by Denver I bet you he has a terrific year. Too bad he’s such a fuckin’ basket case.

Ellerby is going to take Reed’s money. You know this.
