This does not surprise me in the least for some reason.

Max how will Barkley do as a pro?
It’s tough to say.

Out of all the positions in football that can vary from the college to pro level, I would say that QB’s have the most unpredictability.

How many Heisman QB’s have turned out to be useless ? Plenty.

Also, Manti Teo is slow as shit. His 40 yr dash time was 4.82 seconds, I have seen linemen faster than this, carrying 70 more lbs of bodyweight too.
My thought was the same on Teo, but someone will take that risk, I say second maybe 3rd round.

Barkley is intriguing to me, USC QB’s have not had a good history in the last 15 years. But this kid does have it seems to me a little more brains than brawn. He may end up the “sleeper” in a sense from this draft.

All the other QB’s suck donkey balls, not a God Damn one of them are first round picks.
Sorry to derail the funnies but I wanted to address this.

The media and fans love to talk about the Combine but it does mean anything. I dont care what your 40 is or how many reps you can get with 225. Let me see how you play. You know who ran a 4.7 40yrd? Jerry Rice. Some are placing Teo with Green Bay and if so I would be thrilled but I will tell you this, he IS going in the 1st rd. Nuff said. And Ill put down a bet with anyone on that.

Back to funnies.
My assessment was for his play.

He got smoked and exposed in the BCS game
And I could understand that. Bama is as close as it comes to being a pro team in college football. But I have a hard time judging his ability mostly on that game. Im not as big of a college football fan as others here but I did watch enough live and view enough clips to see how consistent Teo has been in his career. I think he is at least a dependable pro MLB.

I agree to a point, but the way the draft is now MLB and RB’s are pushed down the board, you have to be a Patrick Willis or the next Ray, Ray to go in the first round.

To much of another Aaron Curry

Alex Smith to Chiefs according to the talking heads.

Yep

Very torn on whether the Jets should trade Revis, on one hand he wants to be a Jet and is arguably the best at his position, on the other hand to have your best player at corner is a weakness in itself.

While the jets season last year was awful, they played very well against the pass w/o him.

They have so many holes to fill getting some draft picks would be nice as well.

How bout percy harvin and a number 1 for Revis?

We gave up far too much for Smith. The 34th overall pick and a 3rd which could become a 2nd. He is not worth that at all. I think swapping 3rds and giving up a 4th would have been appropriate. It doesn’t seem like we were in a bidding war either. The 49ers rode us to the bank.

Yea Matty hate to say it but they have way to many holes to fill, I would ship him and get more talent.

Simply a game manager, but he might thrive in a WC offense with a strong running game and Bowe back

That 3rd is from next year.

You need a QB and with those RB’s could at least start moving the ball. KC SUCKED BALLS on offense last year.

I know the 3rd is from next year. Its a Kings ransom for an above average QB, who I’m not sure can be a huge difference maker for us. I really hope I’m wrong. I’m fully aware of our horrific offense, I suffered through 16 games of it. I would rather we spent the draft picks on building the roster and waited another year for a QB or took one later in the draft which recent history has shown can be highly effective. I’ve watched KC suck ass for 5 years. I can survive another year or two if it means getting the right guys in place for some consistent quality.

He took them to the NFC Championship last year.

Plus they can get the best L tackle in the draft. Solidifying the O for years.

Chiefs in the playoffs next year?

Alex Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Jamaal Charles (top 3 running back this season WRITE IT DOWN), McCluster’s crazy speed/versatility, and a solid D.

I know he did but the 49ers have better pieces in place than we do and better coaching. I know Reid has a great history but recently Harbaugh/Greg Roman have been superior offensively. We could have got the best LT in the draft regardless. Also Sanchez took the Jets to the AFC Championship game twice and you wouldn’t trade for him. I know its not a perfect comparison but there are similarities.

Dear lord I would love it. If Smith can replicate his 49ers form I will eat humble pie with glee. Bowe is a garbage time player. Many of his stats are from when we are down by about 6000 points. He has a tendency to disappear when the chips are down. McCluster has great potential but hasn’t actually done much of anything. Charles is a total beast and the D will be good this year.

One thing I hated about Revis was hit attitude shown on Hard Knocks on HBO.

He came off as a pre-madonna who was too good to show up for training camp, and this is a truly stupid idea because you really do need time to get into game shape and hitting shape.

Your body needs time to adjust to the hitting, and him holding out for more money just really disappointed me.

Mark May went H.A.M on Manti Te’o. He almost went to the Merril Hoge anti-Tim Tebow level and that’s something.

During this past season Hoge basically insinuatred Tebow shouldn’t be anywhere near a professional football field, the exception being in the waterboy capacity or as the guy that cleans the players’ smelly and stained underwear.

A lot of you think you’re tough as sports critics, tune into ESPN to see the real passionate hard-cases at work.

Kinda bummed to see Smith go but knew it would happen.

Smith has played very well these past two seasons and he handled the switch the Kap like a real pro and a good teammate. I wish him success in KC. Hopefully he at least beats the Chargers twice a year lol.

Curious to see what SF does with the picks. We’ll have 15 picks this draft and there is no way 15 players even have a shot to make the roster. I hope they can package some of those picks and move up in the draft.

Do you get NFL network? Watch the coaches show or breakdown AFC and NFC show.

ESPN is a media whore and create drama off anything to get ratings, it’s all fluff and bullshit.

Pats have 5 picks, I feel some movement.
