NFL Discussion Thread 2009

How ironic would it be for maybe Cincy and definitely Indy to let the Jets into the playoffs just to get bounced out by them?

Jesus. Just imagine the Favre dick stroking that will take place on ESPN.

What’s wrong with that? He is playing at an elite level at 40 years of age, no matter what sport you love, you have to appreciate the athleticism and the competitiveness in this individual.

He also tore is up today both on the field (134.4 QB Rating, 4 TDs) and off of the field (dramatic “Pants on the Ground” rendition plus a powerful Jared Allen ass slap).

Love him or hate him, Favre is dominant right now, and if AP ever gets back on track during these playoffs, the Vikes are going to be very hard to stop.
The blind love of Favre gets old. I hope the Saint run through his old ass.
It’s not really blind when he’s putting up monster stats in the playoffs. I agree that they did jock him pretty hard in the off-season and regular season, but he has now put up a dominant performance against a team that was considered to be the hottest in the playoffs.

I have tremendous respect for him and think that he deserves any positive attention that he gets.

And he wears Wranglers!

Damn, that was a disappointing game, I can’t believe Kaeding missed on 3 attempts! Chargers, you have broken my heart yet again!
Most accurate kicker during the regular season is only 50% during the post-season!!

Way to go Norv Turner, if Rivers ever wants a SB he better pray for a new coach or a new team!
I understand how Kaeding kicked his own team between the legs but seriously, was Rivers not responsible for any part of today’s outcome or did everyone but him lose the game today?
As the leader of the Chargers Rivers is absolutely responsible for the outcome! But if Kaeding had nailed the two field goals that were right smack in the middle of his range the game would have been 20-17. Without his clutch kicking they didn’t have a chance with the way the Jets were playing.

Oh well, just one more team to hate on top of the Colts, Patriots, Broncos and Steelers!

i could never hate the Jets as much as i do the broncos and the steelers. I respect manning and brady though.

Sad my bolts lost, but you gotta figure we are going to get into the bowl one of these years, this team is too damn good not to and i bet we will be just as good next year.

now, if only my padres could throw in a decent team to give us SD sport fans a fun year instead of a fun few months.

so, how’d that work out for ya?
I don’t give two shits about Balt. dude. All you have to do is read my past posts in here to know I’m a HUGE Jets fan.

Tell Peyton to look out. The dogs are comin’ and they ready to hunt.

How 'bout dem Cowboys!! Good luck ever seeing another Super Bowl with Romo as the leader…

The Jets however seem to just get the job done. If they can pressure Peyton they stand a chance.

How bout them Steelers! er, Eagles? er, wait, nevermind.

Romo didn’t lose this game. The Vikes’ O-line and D-line won this game.

Ya know 3hitter, you might not be so bad after all.

Easy there Print your gonna ruin your reputation. I’ve been a Cowboy fan my whole life. I just call em as I see em and ROMO sucks.

The Cowboys were never good enough to be in that game.

The Jets have every team they play in panic mode. Revis is sick. I don’t believe there is one reciever out there that he can’t handle. The way they move him around to different guys has to be the most genious idea ever!! Oh, and Green, give the boy the ball and at some point he will break the big run. Hard nosed and fast. Deadly combo there.

I was kinda hoping my reputation was more along the lines of an e-creep.

As for Shonn “War Machine” Greene, you’re right, he has power and speed. He seems to be underestimated because of his size.

Well the “experts” said last year he couldnt win in December/January or win a playoff game. They just got their ass beat yesterday by a better team and QB. I would rather them lose to Favre and a dominant team. It is what it is, but making predictions can get you in trouble. No one gave the Jets any props and they have shut up a lot of “experts”.

E-creep. I’d say that’s your strongest suit.

Jeez, When he broke that run for a TD he blasted right through a head on tackle and never slowed down. Just flat out ran everyone. Dude is gonna get some big $$$ soon.

He does look “short” but that just adds to the power he produces. Sick, just sick…

Granted they did finally win a playoff game but to who? The Eagles. A team whos quarterback and O-line is more worn out then thiers. You’re quarterback is the leader and he simply isn’t one. By now with his starting experience along with his offence they should at least be in every game. Not saying that they should be in the Superbowl but they shouldn’t be getting embarrassed. Mind you this from a life time Cowbay fan. That’s 41 years worth… The first person that should get canned in my opinion. Jerry Jones. Push his ass off the big screen.

Could be worse we could be Raiders fans. I miss the old days also, but we are stuck with JJ and for better or worse Romo. Our defense has stepped up, I have lost faith in Jason Garrett. We need to revamp our offensive line, Flozell is over the hill.

That would be comedy gold people lol.

Well I suppose the clock starts ticking on Phillips and Turner.

Men the Jets are legit, and I gave them no chance this weekend. Peyton Manning is gonna have a hell of a time winning the next.
3hitter JJ ain’t the problem, remember he won this franchise 3 super bowls, he did something right there. That O-line stunk it up, the Boys thought it was gonna be easy. They had many number of chances all the way up until the end of the 3rd Qtr.
On to Brett Favre, I used to think he was a cool cat, but it seems to me he is drama queen.

To throw that last TD pass in the last minute was totally weak in my opinion or some may say classless. To hear Brad Childress saying they got no respect nor love from the media after the postgame conferences because every one was picking the Boys was weak as well.
I hope the Saints kill them and hurt that little whiny bitch of Brett.

No, Jimmy Johnson won the franchise 3 superbowls. I give Barry “the fairy” Switzers win to Jimmy.

Jerry needs to pay up and shut up. He isn’t football savey. He is the George Steinbrenner of football.

Calling your timeouts when your getting throttled at the end of the game is weak. No timeouts no touchdown at the end of the game. At no point in any professional game should a team try to quit scoring.
