Because it’s true. Beating them in the playoffs is the only way the last of the Baltimore Colts fans will get over them moving.

I was happy with the epic match ups, but deeper meaning behind the games make them that much better.
The old colts versus new colts will be great. Sanchez returning to his home area as the underdog should also be great. Are there any underlying themes in the Cowboys vs Vikes game or the Cards vs Saints game?

Cowboys and Vikes used to battle in out in the playoffs in the 70’s. A lot of Vike fans blame Cowboys for preventing them from getting a SB win.

And the Vikes are responsible for the last 3 Dallas Superbowl wins. Thanks, Herschel!

Yes sir. I wonder if they would like MB III for 13 draft picks?
For LT’s sake, I hope they win the Super Bowl. This is his Super Bowl shuffle. Even though this was made 2-3 years ago.
Cowboys versus the Viqueens is to close to call in my opinion although the Viqueens do have a slight advantage. I hope the Chargers get thumped by the Jets, but that is only a dream of mine. The two best games will be the Colts versus Ravens and the Boys versus Viqueens.
Though the Viqueens are due for a win in the playoffs. MBIII is worth maybe a 2nd at the most.

Just don’t give him the ball at the end of the game because he is almost as money as Manning when it comes to late comebacks.
Here are my picks:
Arizona and warner’s big game experience oven the rusty saints.
Favre and the vikings over cowbells, i mean cowboys.(i actually like the cowboys, but i think they’re going to trip up soon.)
Agree with print on the jets flying high over the powerless chargers. (iffy but we’ll see)
Even though i think caldwell should be fired and banned from ever coaching a football game again, and most likely ruined my colt’s season, i am still going to go with the colt’s, despite the stink, i think manning can carry the colt’s though the mine field that is baltimore.
Ideally i would like to see the saints, vikings, jets and colts go on. Just don’t think that is going to happen for the jets or the saints.

Agreed, though it is a tough pill to swallow. I’d love to see the jets v Balt. I’m originally from Balt. so I still have a lot of friends there. Not to mention it would be play in the Meadowlands. Talk about going out with a bang. Last game ever played in GIANTS stadium and it’s the Jets that close the place down…
Anyone else think it was bull shit that only 2 seconds came off the clock (0:09 to 0:07) on a Manning drop back, hesitation, step to the right, and throw at the end of the second half? It was on 2nd down I believe which allows Colts to attempt another shot at the endzone opposed to taking only 3 prior to halftime.

Didn’t catch that, but it is interesting.
Either way, Manning dissected that defense in his usual robotic fashion. The Ravens would have had a great chance if they hadn’t stabbed themselves in the foot with all those penalties and fumbles. It might not have been a dominant performance, but Manning showed that even the best defenses aren’t good enough to stop him.
Tomorrow is the icing on the cake, I cannot wait to watch both games.

I can’t wait till someone puts Manning in his place and Defense can rule again.

We’ll see if the Jets beat the Chargers. Jets may have a legit chance to beat Indy if they get past the Chargers. I don’t really like Manning too especially when hes made look better than his polished self, like yesterday.
When defence rules again…X2
I know I’m in the minority but I prefer lower scoring games. Great defences against a great rushing attack type of duels. The odd long bomb. Tightends are actually, Gasp! blocking. Big hits and lots of em’. Outdoors, but thats a whole other debate.
Two teams slugging it out to a 20-17 score or something with good run vs pass ratio. Couple scores in the last quarter. QB’s maybe 200 passing yrds. Sack or two. Every score is huge. Thats football to me.
51 to 45 or whatever it was last week was brutal. It was like an all-star game. Fuck sakes defence hit somebody.
The Cowboys at Vikings game should be somewhere in the middle.
The Jets at Chargers might be crap. San Diego should be able to get to Sanchez and bring the rookie down to earth…hard.

Yes. Every match up is great.
I would hate to see any of these teams lose, but here are my picks:
Cardinals over the Saints
Vikings over the Cowboys
Chargers over the Jets (Love both of these teams and cannot wait to see this game)
Ravens over the Colts
I will take:
Saints over Cardinals. This game might hit 100 points
Cowboys over Vikings. What if Ware knocks out Favre?
Chargers over the Jets. If Chargers score early can Sanchez keep up?
Ravens over Colts. (Love both of these teams and cannot wait to see this game and I had predicted Ravens in SB so I have to go with Ravens)
Like I said in another thread. The wife is gone, just have my boys this weekend. Football, video games and Chicken Wings. Good times.
Shit. I’m 1-1. Ravens really need another receiver. Three more hours to the game of the weekend. Go Cowboys.

The Ravens offense has nothing to do with how Manning plays. I am not a Manning lover, but he is one of the best QB’s to ever play the game, and continues to show why. He gets wins when they matter the most.
Remember, this is the same Ravens defense that gave Brady nightmares last week, and Manning cut it up pretty well.
I do agree with your comment about the rule changes, however, and think that they need to stop adding small tweaks and amendments to make offenses pretty much untouchable. This is football, people are going to get hurt no matter how many rules you make. Let them play.
Picks for today? I am taking the Vikings and Mr. Wrangler over the Cowboys. I think Jared Allen will be doing his signature cattle roping dance all over Romo today. I am also taking the Chargers over the Jets, as I think that their chances hinge almost entirely on Sanchez’s play, and don’t know if he can hold up to the pressure that the Bolts D will be bringing.
R.I.P. Gaines Adams. Just fucked up. God bless him and prayers for his family.

Wow. That is a tragic loss. A little bit of a summary for those who don’t know what happened:
Bears DE Gaines Adams passed away Sunday morning for undisclosed reasons. Profootballtalk.com reports that Adams is “believed” to have suffered a heart attack. The Greenwood (SC) County Coroner said Adams “appeared to be in perfect health,” so it appears his death was tragically a fluke. An autopsy will be done later today. Adams, the No. 4 overall pick in 2007, racked up 13 sacks, 76 tackles, and two interceptions in his first two seasons with Tampa before being dealt to Chicago prior to October’s trade deadline. He was slated for a major role in 2010, likely replacing free agent LE Adewale Ogunleye as a starter.
