lol I didn’t bet my house on it or anything. I thought they would win in the playoffs, they were supposed to beat the Ravens and get some sort of revenge against the Colts. In a one game series do you honestly believe all those stats and fantasy B.S matter? You make it sound like I had relevant or analytical prowess when I said they’d go to the Superbowl when it was just the fact that Brady and Belichick are on the team.

No, and no there is no clarification needed, it isn’t a debate.

Also, you were clearly smoking something as is thinking Pats would sniff the super bowl at this point(if you made that pick day 1 of the season and stuck with it that’s slightly different but their D was going to be an issue all season long that never changed).
Well I picked them for the Superbowl because Arizona made it to the Superbowl last year which proved team records don’t mean much. No doubt if the playoffs were played in series I wouldnt have picked the Pats but b/ its 1 game elimination you can never really count out a team like NE.

At least the Packers vs. Cardinals game turned out to be competitive in the 2nd half.

I will be at the Chargers vs. Jets matchup next Sunday, i’m pretty stoked. I keep hearing about how the Chargers need to be worried because of the Jets defense and Revis. Revis may be able to slow down Vincent Jackson, but the Chargers have won numerous games this season where Jackson only caught a few passes. If i were them i’d be more worried about Gates, he is a matchup nightmare. I’m confident the Chargers are the better team and will win this game.
Being a Jets fan I agree with you. SD at home and on a roll will be a win. However with the way the Jets are plating def. and the running game, especially Shonn Greene I think it’ll be close. The other thing we have going for us right now and it gets underplayed a lot is confidence.

As for Gates, he may end up staying in more as a pass blocker to protect Rivers. The Jets are going to throw everything at them and Norv might want to keep him home. Sproles scares me more than anyone on that team.

right here.

Listening to 610 WIP, rumors out that Donovan may be done.

and he was quoted as saying it was a great season. As a lifelong philly fan, really pissed he said that after the last few dismal performances against the biggest bunch of douchebags in all of sports.

What do you expect? He gave them how many NFC titles, playoffs, and got them to a Super Bowl, yet he never receives any love. I don’t blame him for wanting out.

All Philly fans need a meat stick enema.

No shit…I’d love to see McNabb leave and go win somewhere else. Washington?

Also didn’t anyone else think there should have been a flag on the sack of Rodgers on the last play?

Not blaming the refs on this loss at all, play some fuckin’ defence GB. I just thought there should have been a penalty for hands to the face or a facemask call on the Cards DB.

Like someone else said earlier, Pats run is done. Jr.Seau? Give me a fucking break. I never heard a crowd boo a team as loud as the Pats fans did yesterday…Loved it!

The only issue I have with that attitude is those fans payed a lot of fucking money to go to those games. So much so, Craft has priced out most true fans for “pink hats” that can actually afford to go to a game. So when they win the crowd is silent and the games suck, and most times when they lose everyone just leaves in the 3rd.

That stadium blows for seeing games now. There are like 10,000 actual fans and the other 40,000 are there for the other team or to get drunk and say they were there.

I know it is “cool” for everyone to hate the teams that win consistently, but there is no reason for someone to “love” that ANY team played so poorly that the people that dropped close to $300 during these economic times to go enjoy a game are so frustrated that they boo the entire game.

That would be shit hitting the fan, if McNabb stays in the NFC east. I think right now Shanahan is either going to work with Campbell or draft Bradford. If the Redskins were smart they would trade down and stockpile picks. They ain’t got shit for picks.

On the other hand, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Shanny try to pull something off and grab McNabb.

Ravens are legit this year. I am a COWBOYS fan and I am not from Korea. Have a little respect for the few fans who have been COWBOYS fans their whole life. Last I checked only one guy controls that team and it sure as hell aint us fans. That being said anyone have any predictions? I will be a homer and go Cowboys and Ravens.
Okay I am still backing my prediction from early in this thread (page 1). Anybody else quote their predictions?

Yes, there is a reason…I don’t like some of the players on that team and I don’t like the coach. That’s why I loved it. You may feel thats a d-bag attitude but I can’t help myself. If you were a Steeler fan like myself you would understand lol.

What you say about the fans I couldn’t agree more with you. I feel bad for the fans for all the reasons you listed. I’ve been to a bunch of games over the years myself. I can never get good seats but when I go to a game there is all these “corporate” seats empty, WTF?

I guess I’m just insulted as someone who enjoys the game, that an organization actually thinks it is acceptable to play like they did on Sunday, in the fucking playoffs, at home.

It was a slap in the face to the fans of the team, and to fans around the league. They looked like shit, played like shit and acted like shitty little teenagers who were being told no. There was no fire, no desire, no want to even play. I would put money on the fact the towel boy even did a shitty job yesterday. The entire organization STARTING with the douchebag coach on, fucking sucked yesterday, and every fan in the stands should get a refund for the $6.50 they paid for a hot chocolate based on how shitty that “team” played yesterday. (Not to take away from the Ravens, who played great fucking smash mouth football.)

I am not an Eagles fan, but feel compelled to back my fellow Philadelphia fans…

Imagine you have this hot girlfriend that everyone wants to bang and anytime you want it she will give you a hand job. At first it is great, but every time you try to bang her she is ragging it. Every. Fucking. Time. After a while she is not going to seem so attractive.

Now, I will admit that Philly has a history of unfairly hating really good players (see also: Mike Schmidt). However, McNabb is a whiny little bitch who blames everyone else but himself. I don’t recall Roethlisberger ever saying shit about his offensive line even when he gets pounded; he routinely accepts the blame when the team fails. Meanwhile McNabb had the nerve to come out after last week’s abomination and blame it on the “youth” of the team. Give me a break.

Whether it’s because he doesn’t know the rules for OT, forgets how many time outs they have, or a complete mismanagement of the clock, McNabb has routinely come up short when it really mattered. And when asked about it, he always has some excuse why it isn’t his fault. Be a fucking man and accept responsibility.

“You’re a goddamn quarterback! You know what that means? It’s the top spot, kid. It’s the guy who takes the fall. It’s the guy everybody’s looking at first - the leader of a team - who will support you when they understand you. Who will break their ribs and their noses and their necks for you, because they believe. 'Cause you make them believe. That’s a quarterback”

But then again what do I know. I’m just a girl.

Doesn’t matter that youre a girl, you got major points for the ragging it comment. you are awarded an honorary penis. anyway you are right about mcnabb, he is a good QB but as the face of the organization, hes just not cutting it. thats why we hate on him. he doesnt seem to man up to mistakes, or come out with intensity- he is very talented, has the physical tools IMO, but doesnt seem to have that fire. you know philly, we identify best with heart on your sleeve type athletes. thats why he’ll never be as loved as Dawkins, or for the older cats, White or JB. Shit even Jeff Garcia.anyway, hopefully i’m the lucky charm that gets us a Superbowl when i move back to Philly in May. cant stand the local bandwagon Vikings fans here in godforsaken minneapolis, although honestly i do hope they kick the shit out of the cowboys next week.

Andy Reid already has stated McNabb isn’t going anywhere. That can change with one phone call and the right offer.

Question for Philly fans: Don’t you feel he was one good wideout away from getting a ring? Not much of an excuse but still.

Yea honorary penis! I can’t wait to PM a pic of it to Oleena!

No i don’t think he was a good wideout away(not this year anyway, most of his career thats a different story). The weakness of the offensive line magnified his shortcomings as a quarterback, his main one in my opinion being his accuracy. he is a tremendous athlete don’t get me wrong, but he is so god damn hot and cold.all that being said i do not think getting rid of him is the way to go. what is needed is a defensive line overhaul, depth at the LB spot, a right tackle, and finally a few leaders to make philly the hard hitting team it once was. For once i really like our WR situation, our RB situation is good, and Celek will be a pro bowler next year.

Very well stated with a nice analogy to top it off. Maybe they’ll just let McNabb walk away and start Vick next year (probably not).

I think next weekend holds some of the best playoff match ups that I have seen in quite a while. Arizona and New Orleans might put up 100 points, Baltimore’s D will face a huge test from the robot Peyton Manning, one of the hottest teams throughout the year (Vikings) faces one of the hottest teams right now (Cowboys), and the sexiest sleeper team (Jets) faces arguable the best, most talented team in football (Chargers).

If you can’t get excited about any of that, you should go jump on a rake.

They don’t use Gates that often at all to pass block. They would put their other tight ends in for that. Gates is lined up next to the tackle, in the slot, or out wide sometimes. If the Jets blitz a lot, the Chargers will probably try to counter with a lot of screen passes. Norv Turner is very good coming up with some great screens. I agree it should be a game and is no gimme for the Chargers. Can’t wait for Sunday!!
