NFL 2011 Season Starts Now

If that was the case then I would understand and agree, but he was a highly questionable first round pick at best, still hasnt proven a thing. Orton, if I remember correctly had a pretty good year last year and was responsible for turning a scrub into a legitimate threat once again (Lloyd)
Lets make this simple. Orton is 5-19 in his last 24 starts. Nough said! This is why the clamoring for Tebow, who btw kept them in & won in his 3 starts last yr. The way the broncos running game is, I’d start Tebow too, just for the threat of the run.

Fox will ship Tebow as soon as he can this off season.

Agreed. Honestly, its unfortunate for Tebow. The coach that had a hard-on for him was shipped to another team. It put Tebow in a bad spot. For his sake and Denver’s, he needs to go and I think Miami would fit him fine.
I think that would be best for both really. Being tentative about your QB situation is always a formula for disaster. I don’t know anybody whose ever survived it. Sure Orton is proven…He proven to be a mediocre QB. You can be sitting on a superstar, but you mediocre QB looks better in practice. There’s one way to tell what you got, play Tebow. You know your getting sub par with Orton, why settle just because he is safe.

Orton had an average at best year. He started out strong and fizzled. I agree starting you rookie QB out on 2nd string, but make your bad and lay in it. What I think is killing them is all this uncertainty. Kinda, sorta, maybe, I don’t know shit ain’t going to get you anywhere. If Tebow is the future he should start now, he had his year on the sideline. Orton can’t teaching him anything other than how to blow it at the last minute.

Hmmmm I would venture to guess that their record may be worse if he started those games, and on top of that, yes a small slate of games but werent the Broncos record 1-2 when he started? Id start Brady Quinn over him if anything.

Tebow makes plays, he makes shit happen. So really, who gives a shit if he doesn’t do a drill right in practice.

I will definitely agree with the uncertainty aspect, Im a big believer in team identity in sports especially the NFL, and it starts with the QB, make a decision and go with it whatever the decision may be.

LOL! Have you ever watch Quinn play? He makes Alex smith look like Peyton Manning.

tebow played 3 games and won 1 he’s 1-2 as a starter so he’s no great asset either…

denver’s team sucked ass last year… their defense was as dominant as it was the year prior… honestly orton is the more polished qb and tebow does have some learning to do… i don’t care about his mechanics but he does throw inaccurate at times but he can run when necessary. i don’t necessarily agree with all the talking heads who say he can’t play the position but he does need time to learn the playbook especially since he’s under a new coach now.

as far as the fans chanting tebow i think its disgusting… we had the same incident in miami during the orton trade debacle… some fans just want their team to win so they can rock their team gear without feeling ashamed… a real fan wears team gear anyways… imagine being a fins fan during the 1-15 year… that was rough…

I blame Fantasy Football Matty.

Where you can take out Brady and put in Peyton Manning cause you drafted both. Probably 80% of fans are fair weather fans and just have no appreciation of what the NFL is about.

You have 32 teams that are given X number of money to spend, every team has to put together a team to win. This is not about recruiting your local sports star to come and play for your college team. This is not about the NFL capable player going against Joe who will be working next year as a financial adviser for Fidelity.

This is about GM’s, Owners, and coaches managing a roster of ELITE players to try to take the ultimate crown.

Some can do it and some cannot not, because the ones who cannot start listening to the media and fans. If the media and fans really did know it all they wouldnt be media and fans they would GM’s, owners and coaches.

/rant sorry
Point taken, but I also blame GMs and owners pushing a QB to start simply because it will create more revenue, and fans simply want change for change sake at times, not necessarily in this situation however.

Because man do you think Brady and Peyton have shitty practice? Favre may have had some shitty practice but I can guarantee he was still a safer bet cause he did not have all the flaws that Tebow has.

He has Leftwich’s throwing speed and he is not even close to being Mike Vick’s speed. Dude will get crushed and not make a full season.

On the Pats:

Offence - Once they Gel, if they stay healthy and keep Brady upright, can be scary good. The have “it”, if not right now, in the making.

Defense - Oi I just don’t know.

D-Line - Looked like fucking ProBowl studs compaired to last year… But who knows if that lasts, but might get better. Could be shit again, or could fuck people up… Toss up

LineBackers - Eh, I’m not worried. No massive studs, but a couple names could become household…

Corners - McCorty looked out matched, but found his groove. The Rookie looks good, and the rest of them can fit in. Not worried, they will be fine.

Safety - Major issue. Major scary issue.

This team is a Rodney Harrison away from putting down another 3 out of 4… Assuming the D Line gets better and the O stays healthy.
What’s weird is they looked like shit on that first drive, but after that, it was lights out.
Yeah, They like to do that shit to my heart now and again. Takes a min to settle in I guess.

Dude, where were you last year, lol?
No shit…I love to talk football… If the D for the Pat’s is better than last year, the rest of the AFC is in trouble.

The Falcons are the one’s who have me a little scared. They looked so flat on sunday, I really hope they get that shit fixed pronto. We got the friggin’ Eagles this weekend and we have no momentum what so ever. It Matty don’t thaw, we’re going to get killed.

i agree with this… broncos seem to play much more up tempo with tebow in the game… and the defense seems to be on its heels when tebows in the game… he just brings 1 more aspect that u have to plan for…

tebow does have issues with accuracy tho… if u were a coach in practice if he’s doing it right in practice what makes u think he’s gonna perform under pressure?

x2…hey vin, your not on suicide watch after last nights game are you?

no im upset about the damn defense tho… it was supposed to be our “strong point” but brady made swiss cheese outta it… in the end our qb dropped 400+ passing yds on an elite team in the first week… honestly as long as we don’t draft a player cuz he has a good “family” and our head coach isn’t cam cameron i won’t be on suicide watch…

I can’t blame them, if I were in the stands I’d be chanting TEBOW too… I mean really orton? I don’t know any team that’d be better for having him…

anyone notice how preseason doesn’t mean shit?

eagles struggled in the preseason only to blow up week 1
pitt dominated in the preseason only to crumble in week 1
falcons looked good, they are 0-1 now
browns and mccoy dropped pts on detroit and they just lost to cincy and detroit just beat the bucs…

Yea man you got to feel good about Henne taking a step forward.

Its game one. I can guarantee that game film is being dissected by every DC in the NFL looking for a way to attack Brady and crew.

Henne didn’t look bad in the beginning, but he did by the end… Yeah Brady was something else…The good news is that everybody else is worse so that won’t happen again this season.
