I don’t. I am not sure their D is as shored up as they should be, but their O is plenty stout. I think the game will be close in the first half, but I think the Pat’s in their relentless, merciless manner will pull away in the second half. I give it to the Pat’s by 2 possessions. Henne still looks lost, I think an average D can stop them. Especially if they crowd the line and stop the run early. If they force the fin’s to go airborne, it should be an easy game…

I believe the Broncos will get their asses stomped by the Raiders tonight. Well, maybe not stomped, but they will lose. Orton is not a gamer, the team is divided and the fans are divided…It’s not a good situ.
Wait Orton is not a gamer? Where are they playing tonight?

What is your feeling on Campbell?

Also I answered you on previous page.
Oh, I think Campbell is average. But the Raiders have a better ground game and a better D, but they are playing in Denver. I thought they were playing in Oakland given what time the game is starting. I think this game is going to be decided on the ground and the Raiders will edge them out. Don’t get me wrong, the Raider kinks will show up by week 3 and stay the rest of the season, but they usually have a strong start. Seymour will have a good game thinks I.
Until Al Davis dies, I don’t think the Raiders will amount to much.

SSC Yea that sucks about Beason.

Its apples and oranges honestly every team is a unique entity onto itself. Cam had a great game, thing was it was his first game. Once DC’s see enough film they will attack his weakness just like every DC. Then we get to see how really good he is.

I dont agree with you SSC about Stafford, his college numbers were over rated. But I think this kid has the tools, mental make up and the “it” factor. He should have got his shoulder fixed the first year instead of waiting. Honestly if he played for say Arizona or Seattle what would you think about him?
I think he has the tools, but I think he lacks the ‘it’. His biggest issue is he’s injury prone. I believe this is has last year, if he doesn’t start at least 14 years, he’ll end up being a journey man QB floating around the league as a back up like Leftwich.

Cam did have a great game, but when people figure his game out, we’ll see if he can adjust. That’s going to be the real story.
yeah when they showed stafford limping off the field yesterday before it came out it was just

cramps i thought well that didnt take long for him to get hurt

hopefully for lions fans they upgraded the paper mache he was made out of to at least some

kind of heavy duty construction paper
Yeah, hopefully. Megatron deserves a QB that will get him the ball. He’s a freaking stud. You see his first TD catch yesterday? Toed into the endzone, handed the ball to the zebra, and went about his business. I like that dude.

As for the Lions:

Dammit they’re dangerous, but are they the Texans? A couple years away with all the talent in the world?

As for the dude named Su:

I’m not cool with him being labeled a dirty player. I think he’s a viscious animal that’s all cued up to knock heads off, but he’s not dirty. That being said, is there another D-lineman playing right now that’s as nasty as he is?

Any D-linemen in the past you can compare him to?
Su isn’t dirty, he’s just bad ass.

Bad back, hard, hard thing to play around.
Get technical dude. Thankfully(taps head) I have no back issues, just the usual stuff from ya know, being alive.

What kind of surgery are we talking about with him and also Manning. Do they go under the knife because of pain or lack of mobility? Nerve damage or bone on bone or both.

I can’t imagine having that shit done then playing the ultimate contact sport within a matter of weeks but that’s what I love about football, the risk…their risk I should add

At 12.5, I’m having a real hard time NOT laying a bill on the Fins right now.

The D is, well, not that much better than last year, and the O is a huge ?

I worry for the Pats this year. But the Jets aren’t vastly improved over last year either. SHit fater yesterday I’m ready to give the Ravens the ring and start next year, lol.
It could be said, and I think I will say it, personell wise the jets may have regressed…
On offence or defense? They just need one scary mofo on the edge smashing the QB.

I also can’t figure out Green, he has the frame to punish people.
More on offense, Lost Damien Woody, Brad Smith, and Jerrico Cotchery and Braylon Edwards…
There defense may be a bit better as it is healthier and will have Pace for the whole season and I like some of their rooks
IMO, Woody & J-Co are the biggest losses. Though I do think that it IS only one game & the Jets DID win. I know we’re pessimists at heart, but lets just the take the win & run w/it.

Matty? Why didn’t I hear your doppelganger’s name last night?
Goddam you Jets fans finding faults with your roster after a win! When you lose 41-7 at home to Ryan Fitzpatrick then you have permission to find fault with you roster!

I dont think so, his injury was one injury. He should have got it fixed the first year, and then he would not have had it come up again. This is his third year but the first two were fucked up by one injury. Leftwich had a worse throwing motion than Tebow that is the reason he is a back up. Stafford does not have that issue.

I have heard reports that he never had an injury in his whole career, HS or college. That like a lot of people he did not want surgery if there was a possible other option.
Well in NFL he would have been better getting the surgery and been back full force.

I will go out on a limb and say he will not get injured this year and he will have a very productive year, with possible break out year next year.
Well, I disagree, but I guess we’ll get to see. I do agree that they should have taken the shoulder situation more seriously. If the Lion’s do anything though, I am bettin’ it’s Su, not Stafford that makes the MVP for that team.
It’s funny about Tebow, that’s what “they” say about him, but every time I have seen him, he makes plays, period. In the air and on the ground. “They” say he sucks at practice, but then they never show footage of it. In games, he just flat plays.
Denver went safe with Orton, but Orton is a 3 quarter QB. He’s always asleep at the wheel in one of the 4. I am bettin’ Orton is out by game 6 as starter.
I have heard that about Tebow, and I remember a few QB’s like that in the old NFL.

How many times have we seen a back up QB come out to replace an injured starter and light it up? But then fall flat when DC’s find out how to attack. I see Tebow this way, yea he may make some plays but after that he is a one trick pony. Ravens or Steelers will kill him with that delivery and ability to read Defenses.

yeah and apparently it was on a cut block, i’m all for keeping rules to a min and letting them

play but will all the protection and rules out against going for someone’s knees (qb’s, lineman

when they are engaged being blocked up high) i’m surprised they still allow the cut block.

Okay think about the nerves like streets coming off a major highway, going from 2 lane exit down to 1/2 lane exit. No cars are getting off.

In the picture you can see his lumbar spine has been rumored to have some disc herniation’s. So the disc is actually pressing on the nerve exiting the spine that goes into the legs. If you cannot get signals to the muscles then your legs will not work like you want them to. Besides the pain.

I didnt here his name either I was watching the game with his wife and she was sure that he was active!

Looks like Bush and Henne are playing like they got something to prove, even though Bush laid a shit block on that sack

Damn nobodies sniffing brady, he looks as smooth as ever…FACK

Here’s the block on Berry, really unfortunate he had a great season last yr and probably would

have been roty had there not been some guy named suh.

Ouch, the center for the Pats looked like he got hurt bad the way his leg bended.

On another note, Mike Tolbert is a dancing machine. I like how you can see that Gates is laughing.

Stoked on the Chargers this year.
It was “here we go again” with the special teams on that first play, but our defense with Sanders and Spikes looked real good. Sanders was all over the place and if he can stay healthy I feel like we have a top 10/5 defense.

Rivers will be Rivers, but the running game looked way better than it has been. Matthews got some good runs and Tolbert was awesome.

I realize one game does not a season make, but with how the Chiefs played (and I guess we’ll see about Oakland and Denver), the Chargers have the division handily this year. Still  about our special teams.

Patriots offense looks scary, and I feel bad for Chad Henne, although he’s played damn well.

Anyone feel like all the blowouts might be because some teams haven’t had enough time to prepare? What with the lockout and new players and not enough time for training camps you think we’ll see some of worse teams this week play significantly better down the line?

I dont think I have ever seen a special team bring 2 kickers on the field. Interesting.

It’s going to be tough next week against the Pats. Tom Brady looked like a stud today. If we can manage to hold him to under 300 yards and only a few touchdowns I think we can win. I’d much rather see that game than the Giants vs. Rams on Monday night. But since the Pats played tonight, I can see why it didn’t happen.

Haha, Raiders and Broncos already trying to fight. You know these teams hate each other. Nice hit for the fumble.
