NFL 2011 Season Starts Now

^Agreed, I don’t think the Jets helped themselves all that much either. I don’t see any nastiness on the O line. Bring back Faneca.

As for the Pats, well I think they’ve done a few good things. All the hype round Ocho & fat-boy has taken away from some of their other signings. But the Miami def. is damn stout & damn good. I think it will be a little closer than 12, depending on Henne’s game.

I love it every year after the first game, everyone is ready to crown the king. Hard to keep reminding yourself it is such a long season. This is not college and you can still go to the SB with one loss.

GB and Saints seem to have the best roster and total package.

That fucking sucks.

Im not the biggest Brandon Jacobs fan, another big who at time cant get the tough yardage, and hes been kind of a schmuck, But there is no reason he should have had only 6 carries yesterday, he was running well and they abandoned the run way too fast.

Seems like weird coaching decisions are made every time the Redskins are the opponent. It’s very strange.

Chargers K Nate Kaeding out for the year. Wow. Scifres did ok yesterday as a stand in, but moving forward SD needs a TON more red zone penetration.

That’s right, penetration.

Pittsburgh used their mulligan in week one looks like and hopefully Baltimore blew their wad as well.

I don’t think the sky is falling by any means, they’re weakness is the same as last year pass defense. Timmons looked tired and lost out their which really surprised me.

Harrison is no where near %100, no matter what he says. McKinnie mauled him all day, no question about that.

Hats off the the Ravens, that hurts to say.

At 12.5, I’m having a real hard time NOT laying a bill on the Fins right now.

The D is, well, not that much better than last year, and the O is a huge ?

I worry for the Pats this year. But the Jets aren’t vastly improved over last year either. SHit fater yesterday I’m ready to give the Ravens the ring and start next year, lol.
It could be said, and I think I will say it, personell wise the jets may have regressed…

SSC Yea that sucks about Beason.

Its apples and oranges honestly every team is a unique entity onto itself. Cam had a great game, thing was it was his first game. Once DC’s see enough film they will attack his weakness just like every DC. Then we get to see how really good he is.

I dont agree with you SSC about Stafford, his college numbers were over rated. But I think this kid has the tools, mental make up and the “it” factor. He should have got his shoulder fixed the first year instead of waiting. Honestly if he played for say Arizona or Seattle what would you think about him?
I think he has the tools, but I think he lacks the ‘it’. His biggest issue is he’s injury prone. I believe this is has last year, if he doesn’t start at least 14 years, he’ll end up being a journey man QB floating around the league as a back up like Leftwich.

Cam did have a great game, but when people figure his game out, we’ll see if he can adjust. That’s going to be the real story.

I dont think so, his injury was one injury. He should have got it fixed the first year, and then he would not have had it come up again. This is his third year but the first two were fucked up by one injury. Leftwich had a worse throwing motion than Tebow that is the reason he is a back up. Stafford does not have that issue.

I have heard reports that he never had an injury in his whole career, HS or college. That like a lot of people he did not want surgery if there was a possible other option.
Well in NFL he would have been better getting the surgery and been back full force.

I will go out on a limb and say he will not get injured this year and he will have a very productive year, with possible break out year next year.

He had a couple good plays, but he got his ass kicked way more than normal.

Bad back, hard, hard thing to play around.

On offence or defense? They just need one scary mofo on the edge smashing the QB.

I also can’t figure out Green, he has the frame to punish people.

I don’t. I am not sure their D is as shored up as they should be, but their O is plenty stout. I think the game will be close in the first half, but I think the Pat’s in their relentless, merciless manner will pull away in the second half. I give it to the Pat’s by 2 possessions. Henne still looks lost, I think an average D can stop them. Especially if they crowd the line and stop the run early. If they force the fin’s to go airborne, it should be an easy game…

I believe the Broncos will get their asses stomped by the Raiders tonight. Well, maybe not stomped, but they will lose. Orton is not a gamer, the team is divided and the fans are divided…It’s not a good situ.

Wait Orton is not a gamer? Where are they playing tonight?

What is your feeling on Campbell?

Also I answered you on previous page.

Well, I disagree, but I guess we’ll get to see. I do agree that they should have taken the shoulder situation more seriously. If the Lion’s do anything though, I am bettin’ it’s Su, not Stafford that makes the MVP for that team.
It’s funny about Tebow, that’s what “they” say about him, but every time I have seen him, he makes plays, period. In the air and on the ground. “They” say he sucks at practice, but then they never show footage of it. In games, he just flat plays.
Denver went safe with Orton, but Orton is a 3 quarter QB. He’s always asleep at the wheel in one of the 4. I am bettin’ Orton is out by game 6 as starter.

More on offense, Lost Damien Woody, Brad Smith, and Jerrico Cotchery and Braylon Edwards…
There defense may be a bit better as it is healthier and will have Pace for the whole season and I like some of their rooks

As for the Lions:

Dammit they’re dangerous, but are they the Texans? A couple years away with all the talent in the world?

As for the dude named Su:

I’m not cool with him being labeled a dirty player. I think he’s a viscious animal that’s all cued up to knock heads off, but he’s not dirty. That being said, is there another D-lineman playing right now that’s as nasty as he is?

Any D-linemen in the past you can compare him to?

He drew a holding call that I thought was horseshit. He’s developing this move where he rushes around the outside edge(it works best on tall guys like McKinnie) collapses and the dude falls on top of him looking like he grabbed him and held him down.

Now Harrison will argue he’s been held for years(true) and this is his way of evening the playing field. I don’t like it, seems bush leauge.

The LT for the Seahawks better have his chin strapped on next week cause JH will be in a foul mood all week lol.

IMO, Woody & J-Co are the biggest losses. Though I do think that it IS only one game & the Jets DID win. I know we’re pessimists at heart, but lets just the take the win & run w/it.

Matty? Why didn’t I hear your doppelganger’s name last night?

yeah when they showed stafford limping off the field yesterday before it came out it was just

cramps i thought well that didnt take long for him to get hurt

hopefully for lions fans they upgraded the paper mache he was made out of to at least some

kind of heavy duty construction paper
