I was wasting too much time on here and getting all sorts of worked up about things that really shouldn’t matter. I apparently lack impulse control

Print should show up by the time the season starts. At least I hope so, I rely on he and Matty to break down the Jets for me since I mostly get Eagles chatter where I live.

I’m going to save you a season of football watching right now:

The Jets will be an above average regular season team that makes the playoffs. You will think they are an elite team because of how much Rex Ryan and his players talk, but they will really just be an average playoff team. They’ll lose in the second or third round of the playoffs and it will be someone else’s fault.

Now why the hell are you a Jets fan and a Phillies fan?
This makes absolutely no sense to me after they just played in back 2 back championship games. If I remember correctly they blamed no one but themselves. If you look back just 2 yrs ago when Peyton lit them up in that game, they went out & drafted a corner (K. Wilson) to shut down his play. Last yr after being trounced in the first half by Mendenhal they in turn drafted def. line this yr.

Funny how everyone wants to hate on the Jets as of late. Just a few yrs back they were bottom-feeders & no one even knew who the starting qb was. Now that they’ve won a few, everyone & their blind step-brother want to call them out.

I’ve got no issue w/anyone talking down about them as long as they know what they are talking about.

& if anyone doesn’t think w/a healthy Leonhard & Pace AND the addition of Wilkerson & Ropati that def. won’t be nasty, you’re just plain fucking dumb.

If Sanchez can kick his completion percentage up & do it early in the season they can easily get to the SB.

Oh, & SP, I bet you are looking delicious…
The Jets are not getting through New England. What did we add? What did they add? Case closed. Rex Ryan will cry again

^ Matty and Print come out swinging.

Damn I missed football and this thread. brings a tear to my eye.

That’s a mighty big if, just from what I’ve seen in him. His completion% hasn’t changed much from year 1 to year 2, and yes I’m aware Braylon Edwards can’t even catch a cold

I mainly said that to provoke SP though… I just hate how much I hear about/from the Jets considering I live nowhere near them and never watch them on TV. Annoying.

I didn’t realize how easy it is to rile up Jets fans. This is gonna be fun.

^Wut up Matty!

Gonna be a shit-storm this yr.

Already heard the WR corp is gelling pretty fast. 2nd practice for Mason, & he’s already tearing it up. Slap that big ass Greene in there to wear some shit down & damage will be done.

I’ll admit being a Jets hater, but that’s only because of the trash talking coach and tomfoolery. I’ve really admired the talent they have put together the last couple of years and the plans they put in place. I see a bright future for Sanchez as well, even though it seems a lot of folks peg him as the weak link on the team.

I’ll root against them when they play, but I pick the Jets to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year, if they can avoid blowing their wad before the championship game.

Unless Brady gets hurt, who is your back up the crack addict from Arkansas?

HAHA No worries brotha. I don’t get riled up. Unless of course it’s someone posting shit they don’t know what they speak of.

I missed who your team was scj? Seeing you’re from DC, I suspect the Skins?

The Skins have fans?
I say Ravens.

Harr, you both wrong… I only moved to DC a few years ago. I’m originally from Cali… Niners all the way.

In the spirt of your Mark Sanchez comment, we have a real shot this year if Alex Smith learns how to not overthrow the 5yard dumpoff pass. I hear the 6th year is usually when that issue gets ironed out.

Smith doesn’t have the O line nor as many weapons as Sanchez does. I would EXPECT more from Sanchez this yr. The pieces are in place if he keeps his head out of his ass.

Heitmann went from Pro Bowl center to out of the league in 2yrs and his replacement is gone… Staley keeps getting injured. Iupati/Rachal/Davis are all young.

That being said, I don’t think our line was as much of a problem as Singletary’s predictable playcalling. He was obsessed with running inside no matter what the defense showed, just because it was a battle of toughness. Retarded.

Alex Smith is hard to watch though. He is so much more accurate mid-range than short range. So many of his dumpoffs sail over Gore’s head (or whoever is in the flat) that it’s comical if you aren’t a Niner fan

edit: As far as weapons, Vernon Davis is still awesome. Crabtree shows flashes of brilliance (when he runs the right routes). Gore is a good receiving threat… Delanie Walker causes matchup problems receiving as a 2nd TE

x2 PRINTSKI…we (again yes we) were second class citizens in our own city even when we were a decent team (make no mistake we have been a lot more successful than anyone likes to remember over the past decade) now over the past few years we get attention and everybody wants to take a shit on us…

But like that beautiful and classic internet classic “2 girls one cup” we will eat that shit up!

All that said… I like the Niners chances solely based on their division. Not a Kolb fan for AZ - not to mention their defense has gotten worse - and the Seahawks are going to be flat terrible. Rams aren’t bad but are far from unbeatable in a division race.

Anything can happen once you’re in the playoffs… just ask the Cardinals from a couple years back

^ Who is going to rush the passer? Who is going to cover the WR’s?

Not hating I love the game and watch all the teams and as a Cowboys fan not like I have a lot to stand on yet.

1st question: A tandom of Ahmad Brooks, Parys Haralson, and 1st round pick Aldon Smith

2nd question: Shawntae Spencer and Carlos Rodgers (who I unfortunately watched a lot of while living in DC)

Um…did I mention how good Patrick Willis is?

You know your team is getting good when people develop hatreds of them eg the Patriots and now the Jets. The day everyone starts hating the Chiefs I’ll be a happy man.
