Quoted for both truth and profundity. Huzzah, sir.
I exclude you Beans, because of course I’m in love w/you.
As for the Smith signing (Eagles) Let’s not forget just a few seasons ago the cat had like 108 catches. I don’t think that’s a bad pick-up. He won’t be available until the 7th or 8th week. With 2 smallish receivers in Jackson & Macklin, health might be an issue. Could plug him in & he’d be fresh.

But it would appear that the reason they would pick up another WR is because Maclin’s health is an issue and it is not looking like he will be ready to start the season. It will also be interesting to see how hard DeSean goes after it if the Eagles drag their feet on restructuring his contract.

^That’s true about Macklin Smiley, but Smith is on the PUP list. Which means he can’t be active until weeks 7 or 8.
I think Macklin had nothing but a case of Mono? If so he shouldn’t be what I would call hurt, just not conditioned.[/quote]
Awww shit. Now comes the point where I get in way over my head. I’d ask you to be gentle, but you know I like it rough
There is a lot of speculation about what exactly is going on with Maclin and true to form, the Eagles organization is being particularly vague with the details. I mean, when Ray Didinger has no idea what is happening, there’s something fishy going on. I’ve heard some reports that Maclin is down 25# from last year which would make me think it is beyond simple conditioning.
I understood that Smith wouldn’t be available come September, it just seems odd to sign him when it would appear they need guys to hit the ground running come September.

Not making predictions for my Boys, just do not know how they are going to look with New HC and New DC. Do they have all the skilled positions covered with talent for sure, is their Oline shaky yes, Dline now looks solid and our LB are covered. Secondary will have to prove itself. Basically the D has to show up this year and if they do we can be a playoff team. Our offense is not the problem and hasnt been for awhile.

Reports I am hearing is Giants team Doc says Smith is not ready and is on PUP list, Eagles team Doc says he will available opening day. Wonder who is correct?

People hate the Chargers? I have never heard that outside of AFC West teams hating each other. I really doubt Pats or Jets fans HATE the Chargers.
I’m an AFC West guy, and I’ve never heard of anyone hating the Chargers. Even over the past few years when they have been on top of the division, I’ve never seen a Broncos fan hold any more disdain against the Chargers than the Chiefs or Raiders, with whom the Broncos have more intense rivalries.
I seem to recall some sort of bitchy catfight between Jay Cutler and Philip Rivers, though. But I don’t think Broncos fans ever really got too riled up about that, because Cutler wasn’t the most popular guy anyway.
