NFL 2011 Season Starts Now

Very much agree about Tebow.

Heh, he’s been the model citizen/media darling/angel for so long, now is not the time to start wining. Nobody’s gonna sympathize, and the world wasn’t going to keep sucking your dick forever. If you’re good enough to play QB in the NFL you’ll get your chance to prove it soon enough.

That was what I was originally saying if he sits and learns he has a better chance to be good. Not end up like Harrington, Carr, Couch and many, many others. He is one of those developmental QB’s and he needs to STFU and learn.

There were a couple back in the Eagles, and San Fran days. Dude has been around a long time Vinnie he learned under Bill Walsh.

I’m thinking that Colt McCoy will turn out to be a fine NFL QB, maybe not all-Pro ever, but he can have a good career. I like his chances better than Tebow, or anyone currently on the roster for several other teams (Carolina, San Fran, Miami, or Seattle, off the top of my head).

is there gonna be a supplemental draft for pryor wtf is going on with that?

Thanks I was googling and trying to find something I guess I was wrong.

Damn why did this get delayed? Doesnt make sense.

Chargers resigned Malcolm Floyd. The offense will be deadly again with Floyd and Jackson.

LMFAO!

Jerivicious is still probably looking for his settlement money.

^^ I thought that was big news too, as QB - Rivers gets everyone back (except Sproles)

I also think BAL had banked on pairing Floyd with Boldin (after losing Heap and D Mason) so they’re lookin pretty thin now

Steve McNair was allowed to sit for at least a couple if memory serves and it worked out pretty well for the Oilers/Titans.

It used to be the norm for a new QB to sit for a couple years, times change.

I have to confess, I have a mancrush with Tebows quads, they’re fucking huge!, he should be a FB.

Baltimore still has Stallworth right? The loss of Mason for them is big. He always seemed to make the big catches on 3rd down.

The Chargers really need to sign Floyd because Gates still has that lingering foot problem.

I wont believe it till I see it. Yall were supposedly deadly last year but yall turned out like the rest of the West. Since I havent kept up, have yall upgraded the special teams any?

Although the Raiders lost Miller, at least they picked up Kevin Boss. Still, this team is full of management issues.

Obviously you didn’t pay any attention to the Chargers last year. Jackson held out for most of the season, Floyd got hurt, Gates got hurt. The Chargers were so desperate at WR that they traded for Crayton from Dallas and then he got hurt! After all that they put up really good numbers. I haven’t paid any attention to non starters, but i’m sure they have new guys to play special teams.

D Mason joining Holmes and Burress

Gates and Floyd kept returning all the way up to Week 14. Gates had 5 most receiving games and Floyd 3. And Jackson I agree with you. That was just an all around bad situation. Having receiving difficulties does put a strain on your offense but that wasnt the main reason imo. Im not a fan of Norv Turner.

A lot will depend on Gates’ injury, and whether or not he’ll be able to make it through the season. That offense is night and day depending on if he’s suited up or not.

Gates played 10 games and Floyd played 11. Jackson obviously didn’t play until the last five games when the Chargers were already pretty much out of it. I’m not making excuses for the offense. They did fine without them. When Gates was out, Randy McMichael stepped up big time. The reason they didn’t make the playoffs was turnovers. Mainly guys who love to fumble and I guess you can consider blocked punts turnovers too. A team will never do very good if their turnover ratio is negative. But yes, back to my original post. With Floyd and Jackson together again, the passing offensive will be explosive.
