Ive heard the same “a straight line” runner.
If that’s the case, then it’s a damn shame. Shit, the Pack will take him. Plug him in at OLB/nickelback a la Chuck Woodson.
…probably not, lol.

49ers sent out a mass email this afternoon to teams around the league to try and trade safety Taylor Mays.
Wow and if the Seahawks do not want him then you need to stay away. Which is a shame cause the guy is a workout warrior.
WTF? Mays is a monster. Like a bigger but less-good version of Eric Berry (No SEC bias, heh heh.)
But seriously, something smells “off” about that.
Mays is built like a monster, but can’t play. From what I’ve read and heard, he takes wrong angles, lacks instincts for the safety position, can’t cover and doesn’t play to his 4.2 speed.
Oh well, a 2nd round pick wasted.
Just read the 49ers over-under is 8 games. Those Las Vegas odds makers are evil.
Yea Mays is an athlete, NOT a football player. He can run fast and hit hard, but he can’t cover and he can’t play safety. I’m glad we signed Donte Whitner and will be moving on.
Also saw that we pulled in Braylon Edwards. Don’t really know why, I don’t think he’ll be happy here and Smith won’t be able to get him the ball. It’s only a one year contract though, so maybe we’ll get lucky.
Plain and simple, the 49ers have been horrendous in their signing of FA’s this off season, which was confirmed by our last place ranking on ESPN ha.
I think we should just put Pat Willis at QB, so he can command both sides of the ball.
In other news, I heard that Washington’s QB situation is being called the “Suck for Luck” campaign. Thought that was pretty epic.
Honestly as much as it annoys me…
I would secretly love it if Brett Favre actually came back this year

Best. Idea. Ever.

Lol, awesome. Shit… he has legit 4.3 speed, I think you mean CB.
Or both ways?
As for Mays… interesting. Sounds like a Safety version of Gholston. (Sorry I had to bring that up Matty.)
@AdamSchefterAdam Schefter
Filed to ESPN: Raiders reached agreement with former Giants tight end Kevin Boss on a four-year, $16 million.
@JasonLaCanforaJason La Canfora
How far did Braylon Edwards fall? Deal with 49ers is 1yr, $1M, with no guarantees. Only reaches $3.5M max with 90 catches/Pro Bowl. Yikes
Damn Matty did you see this happening to Edwards?
I guess another issue with the law didnt help things…if that was the case…why didnt we (jets) resign him we could of gotten him for less than Plax, didnt plax get 3.5 million guaranteed?
I dont know, WC I think this is gonna be bad for the niners.
^ With the Crabtree issues they had to pick up someone, who knows maybe the warm weather will agree with his slippery hands. ![]()

edit: misunderstood post
I still hate the signing.
Why is this surprising to Tebow? Yes the kid is a winner, but this is the NFL, not the SEC. If he really wants a career than he should be glad about this. He needs at least 3 years sitting behind a NFL QB and fixing his numerous deficiencies. This may allow him to at some point start and be a good NFL QB. If he was thrown out there this year he was going to fail and fail hard.
dunno if this was posted… rams signed sims-walker too a while back…
about tebow i think he needs to stop crying to the media… just suck it up… its a business… as much as i love/believe in the kid this makes him look like a pussy

Hahahahahahaha
Okay as a UT fan I think its kind of funny that Colt will end up starting before Tebow.
how was that bama game for colt?

hahahahahahahahahaaha true that, BUT which is going to make him more money?
if he stays with the browns? his annual bonus might be staph infection…
Very much agree about Tebow.
Heh, he’s been the model citizen/media darling/angel for so long, now is not the time to start wining. Nobody’s gonna sympathize, and the world wasn’t going to keep sucking your dick forever. If you’re good enough to play QB in the NFL you’ll get your chance to prove it soon enough.
Well it is the Browns, so chances are he will never bring them to the promise land. However how many QB’s has Holmgren made a lot of money?
hasselbeck? farve?
