Red I think your team wins the division. SD defense will take a step back, Raiders are fucking lost and Denver is still rebuilding. Werent you 10-6 last year? That is what I see for you guys again.
Predicting the whole season is a mugs game, but its fun. I think we will go 5-1 in the division. But our out of division schedule is very hard. Weeks 11-15 could well all be losses. I don’t know San Diego’s schedule but I really don’t see 8-8 taking the division for us.
I’m going to Vegas this week, so I want to see the odds of the 49ers making it the playoffs. Haven’t had a winning season for the last 8 years too.
Man I dont know how the 49rs are going to do, that will rest on Smith and so will the Cards new QB. The Rams look like the favorite in my eyes to take the West, but you know things can change easily.
Yea the NFC west is going to be a circus. I think I’d give the edge to the Rams as well, but I guarantee injuries will be the deciding factor in which sub par team fails into the playoffs.

Injuries always change the game.
WC how has the training camp been going? How has the Smith(s) looked?

Steeler camp so far…yawn.

Perfect

I know I’m biased as hell but Latrobe, PA is one special place for a training camp.

A buddy of mine went to their camp a few years ago and called me from the sidelines, “these guys are fucking huge!, listen(holds the phone up)” lol, asshole.

Hey DJ, have you seen the clip of Dez at camp hitting the crossbar from 65 yards out?, pretty slick.

This season looks like alot of the strong teams from last year got better through FA. History does show that playoff rollover happens, predicting who will slip up seems especially tough this year with all the player movement.

Lions might be a sleeper, Peanut Brittle, I mean Stafford, has to stay healthy obviously. That D should be really good this year, too bad about Fairly, nothing major according to reports.

No have not seen it, been kind of busy this week with my kids and stuff. Just keeping up dated with Twitter and listening to Sirius Sat. Now I hear Newman is out four to six weeks with groin. Fucker didnt work out enough in the offseason I bet, or in my mind this guy gets hurt every year.
Yea sucks on Fairly those are injuries that can fuck with him for his career.

@AdamSchefterAdam Schefter

SalPal reports Mike Patterson has brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation), a tangle of blood vessels in skull; requires surgery or radiation.

x2. Packers lost enough players to make a whole new team last season. Although we fought through, we could have thrown away the season. But I will throw out who I think wins divisions:

NFC North- Packs

AFC North- Steelers(I think Flacco blows his chance)

NFC East- Eagles

AFC East- Im going Pats by a game or two

NFC West- Cardinals. I may be crazy but I think the Rams are overrated

AFC West- Chiefs again

NFC South- Falcons. Bucs are still too young

AFC South- Another crazy one, Texans. I like the way they look

Okay Why the Rams over rated?
Saints lose out to Falcons? I have not stake just curious
Texans? You think they can over come both Colts and Jags?

Overrated wasnt the best choice of words. They have a tough schedule this year. I like the look of the Cardinals offense. Their defense will be the question.

Im just not a fan of Saints offense. With Sproles though, they may prove me wrong.

I have confidence the Texans will out do Jags. The ONLY way they beat out Indy is
if they win one of their games against them. If they do, I think they sneak in.

Like I said, there are too many variables to be betting on those. Hell there are still FA on market.

^ Jags did a lot in FA that I think will make their D damn tough.
I think with Ingram, Sproles and Thomas the Saints may have more of a run game than people will want to see.
I agree on Rams it is always a toss up in the West.

I hate to say it but I dont think the pats will lose more than 2 games this year and will dominate the division. Jets 10-6 but 9-7 a real possibility.

I’m actually afraid that all of Brady’s playoff magic is in gizelles(sp?) cornhole right now… His football is leaking out the end of his dick
I don’t see this. I think we’re looking at a great year for TB, between the weapons at his disposal, and a great O-Line it’s going to be hard to flush him from the pocket.

On top of that the D-Line should be damn near impossible to run against, and people are going to need to double team Big Vince and Fat Albert, so that frees up some one to attack the opposing QB which should help our secondary.

Damn I CAN’T WAIT for the season to begin!

Wait so you think big baby is going to play on running downs? He wouldnt do it in Washington why do you think he will do it in New England. So maybe teams dont run on them, who is going to put pressure on the QB? Just playing devils advocate.
There offense is potent for small grinding yardage, that spread worked all the way to a point that the D coordinators figured out how to stop it in the playoffs.
Do you think Ocho is going to take it over the top?

I got behind on this thread, but as a Niners fan who lives in Washington and knows too much about the Skins… Carlos Rodgers, REALLY?

There are worse cover corners out there but he will frustrate the hell out of you, he blows away the league in dropped INTs

Not to be a homer, but we’ve all seen it in the past, players with bad reps come into the NE program and buy in. People that won’t comply with the scheme are let go or don’t ever sign on. I think Cunningham could be great at getting inside, but at this point who knows for sure.

As far as the O is concerned I think 85 will have a large impact, I mean at at end of the day he gets open, and CB’s have a hard time covering him, he’s also going to pull people off of Welker and Branch. Plus he can play the long ball, which is always fun. Not to mention Hernandez and Gronkowski, or Edelman for that matter, Brady is going to have a lot of tagets to throw to. We just resigned Green Ellis, and we have Woodhead, on top of the young backs we drafted. I think it’s going to be a much more rounded offense this year and teams are going to have a hard time shutting it down.

@AdamSchefterAdam Schefter

49ers sent out a mass email this afternoon to teams around the league to try and trade safety Taylor Mays.

Wow and if the Seahawks do not want him then you need to stay away. Which is a shame cause the guy is a workout warrior.

Norwood and Cad Williams also picked up by the Rams, this makes a pretty decent three headed monster for Bradford to work with.

Jackson’s production will probably take a hit, fantasy wise. but maybe he can stay healthy,

always seems to get little nagging injuries

That’s odd. He seemed decent enough for a rookie when he played last year. But I don’t get to watch every Niner game out east…shrug

Nah, they will be okay… I will have to see them play before I predict anything.

But Brady just seems… IDK uncomfortable inthe playoffs since he lost the most important game of his career because AS dropped an interception…

WTF? Mays is a monster. Like a bigger but less-good version of Eric Berry (No SEC bias, heh heh.)

But seriously, something smells “off” about that.

Mays is built like a monster, but can’t play. From what I’ve read and heard, he takes wrong angles, lacks instincts for the safety position, can’t cover and doesn’t play to his 4.2 speed.
Oh well, a 2nd round pick wasted.
Just read the 49ers over-under is 8 games. Those Las Vegas odds makers are evil.
