I heard yesterday that since FA opened last Monday there have been over 1200 transactions of player movement. That seems fucking unreal to me.

There are 32 teams in the league and they open camp with 90 man rosters, which comes out to a total of 2,880 players.
1,200 transactions shows that about 41% of NFL players were moved or signed new deals. Pretty interesting.

I thought so also, we are just not made aware of 90% of these moves. SO ready for at least preseason to start.
WC when does the college season actually start I have looked.

Stanford has their home opener on Sept. 3
^ That is what I thought no real news nation wide for at least another 3 weeks.
Okay so the Eagles are making a REAL push this year and while I hate it I can respect it.
Now what will they do if they do not win the SB in the next 2 years?
did anyone else hear about the st. louis rams starting camp with 90… they signed 24 FA/UDFA before camp started… i thought that was unreal…

All the NFL teams had to start with 90 Vinnie
yea but its insane that they would sign 24 right before camp…
I like the Texans’ pickups for their secondary. Let’s hope they can display an ounce of defense this year.

Hahahahaaha I think a ton of teams had to man.
You know I had forgot that the Fins had signed that big back from Kansas State in the draft, him and Bush will make an interesting tandem this year.
yea i hope daniel thomas delivers… and bush should immediately make an impact… too bad brandon marshall is a headcase now… well certified head case…

J Joseph is from the SEC and with Jackson maybe those two together will step it up. I am just waiting to see what M Williams is going to do.

Hell man half the NFL could claim this, they put him on a SSRI and get him some therapy he will be fine. It takes some balls to get up in front of the Nation and air your dirty laundry though. There O-Line looks solid with addition of Pouncey and that D is one of the most under rated in the NFL. Nolan knows how to coach D for sure.

I head they’re switching up his role?
ye aim pretty stoked about the D and it just got better… we cut crowder and picked up burnett from san diego…
crowder was a solid ILB but he didn’t have any game changing plays (ints, FF) in 5 years as a started i think he had 1 int and a handful of FF… we also get odrick and edds back from injury and i heard solia is tearing it up in camp so far…
the question has always been the offense… and we need sparano to stop signing FA linemen…

The fit, to me, doesn’t make sense for several reasons. Why only sign for 1 year and $3 million when there were other offers far better on the table? Or with an offense you’re more familiar with? We don’t even know what he has in the tanks right now… I don’t see Plax going over 700-800 yards and 6-8 TDs, if I had to take a stab at some numbers.
Okay, first things first, the Jets got him for cheap. Cool, I don’t see how this benefits Plax other than the possibility of a deep playoff run (Patriots/Steelers oops.)

This is Braylon Edwards stats from last year, if Plaxico can have the same production and roll coverage away from Holmes, at a much cheaper price than Edwards. Then I would say this is a smart move on the Jets part. [/quote]
Not to mention the issue w Braylon was that you’re always hoping he’s going to hold onto the ball. He was better last year (generally), but still dropped some passes that, if he held onto, would have been the difference of the game (example the loss to the Broncos).
Plax never really had drop issues. So if he can show consistency early on, then other teams will have to fear hi a bit to the extent that they’ll have to make a harder choice in how they cover.
Could wind up being a good move - especially for the price.
Now we just have to hope that Wilkerson is a good pick up for pass rush.

They are fucking stacked.
However, their success is contingent in large part on Vick having a year like last year. (I’m not really an Eagles fan, but I like watching Vick so I hope he repeats…it’s exciting football). I’m not sure if he will, though.
Also, their failure has always been about Andy seeming not to be the coach that can win the big game. And he’s still there calling plays.
If it’ll be any year, it’s this or next…

I still think this is the weak point for that D, but finding an elite pass rusher is hard. The can still be dominate because of Rex and his scheme, if they can get an elite rusher will really put them over the top.
Did you see Gholston went to the Bears? What do you think his chances are?
