I think Miller is a stud & Pitt doesn’t waste a lot of picks. They’re all clean & concise.[/quote]
Well, the Steelers did draft Santonio, but then parlayed him into Antonio Brown after Tone got them a 6th ring, so I guess they won there too, LOL.
It’s really crazy to hear all of this negativity surrounding Santonio. He wasn’t a saint while he was here, but I never heard a bad word spoken about him from anyone in the Steeler organization, even after he was traded. But he also always had Hines to guide him in Pittsburgh. I guess his recent struggles are a result of not having that same positive influence in NY.
Seeing that go down with Santonio kind of makes me hope that they keep Hines around in some capacity, if for no other reason than to guide the Young Money Crew (Brown, Wallace, Sanders) and keep them from turning into assholes.
As far as Heath goes, yeah he’s a stud. I just hope Haley is able to utilize him better than Arians was. He should be a perennial 70-80 catch guy. He’s the classic sure-handed, safety valve TE. Unfortunately good ol’ Bruce often used him like a 3rd tackle on passing downs to bolster the porous OL, which might’ve been a necessity but was a waste of his talent nonetheless.
I think the steelers new what kind of person Santonio was when they traded him a way for a bag of doughnuts…was kind of hoping the jets would have done the impossible and let him go…a talented player but one hell of a douche…
I agree w/the Hines analogy. & last yr when we had Cotchery & Smith hanging around you noticed how quiet Holmes was. Good leadership can not be understated. This yr proves nothing is truer.
& in other news. Just heard on my drive in this morning that Az. has hired Reich to be there new QB coach. Well, he’s been Peyton’s qb coach for the last 10yrs. Hmmm something to think about.
You figure a dome type stadium, warm weather, & a stud receiver (Fitz) that this has all the makings of Peyton’s destination.
On the other hand, Joey Heisman Theisman said it would be a HUGE mistake for the Skins to go after him.

How much coaching did Reich have to do w/ Peyton? I’m guessing not much. I think Reich got opportunities because of Mannings success and not the other way around.
I just read the craziest rumor. The Jets have socked money away for a rainy day & are very much under the cap. The first name mentioned- Mario Williams! WTF, is he a free agent this yr? Hmmmm nice.
& Randy Moss coming out of retirement…How funny is that!
