NFL 2011 Part 4

Well, the Steelers did draft Santonio, but then parlayed him into Antonio Brown after Tone got them a 6th ring, so I guess they won there too, LOL.

It’s really crazy to hear all of this negativity surrounding Santonio. He wasn’t a saint while he was here, but I never heard a bad word spoken about him from anyone in the Steeler organization, even after he was traded. But he also always had Hines to guide him in Pittsburgh. I guess his recent struggles are a result of not having that same positive influence in NY.

Seeing that go down with Santonio kind of makes me hope that they keep Hines around in some capacity, if for no other reason than to guide the Young Money Crew (Brown, Wallace, Sanders) and keep them from turning into assholes.

As far as Heath goes, yeah he’s a stud. I just hope Haley is able to utilize him better than Arians was. He should be a perennial 70-80 catch guy. He’s the classic sure-handed, safety valve TE. Unfortunately good ol’ Bruce often used him like a 3rd tackle on passing downs to bolster the porous OL, which might’ve been a necessity but was a waste of his talent nonetheless.

I think the steelers new what kind of person Santonio was when they traded him a way for a bag of doughnuts…was kind of hoping the jets would have done the impossible and let him go…a talented player but one hell of a douche…

I agree w/the Hines analogy. & last yr when we had Cotchery & Smith hanging around you noticed how quiet Holmes was. Good leadership can not be understated. This yr proves nothing is truer.

& in other news. Just heard on my drive in this morning that Az. has hired Reich to be there new QB coach. Well, he’s been Peyton’s qb coach for the last 10yrs. Hmmm something to think about.

You figure a dome type stadium, warm weather, & a stud receiver (Fitz) that this has all the makings of Peyton’s destination.

On the other hand, Joey Heisman Theisman said it would be a HUGE mistake for the Skins to go after him.

^Arizona where all the old greats go to die I guess.

Interesting picks.

I still do not see RG3 going this early, he is going to really have to wow me in the combine and pro day.

How much coaching did Reich have to do w/ Peyton? I’m guessing not much. I think Reich got opportunities because of Mannings success and not the other way around.

No RB picked untill Cincy at #17. Weird how some drafts can be loaded with RB’s and then a year like this.

Because driving your Bentley drunk and not having insurance isn’t enough, you better have a license plate on the ride that reads “SAUCED”

Way to go Knowshon!

“She(Brady’s wife) just needs to continue to be cute and shut up,”

Brandon Jacobs…

I love Brandon Jacobs, that dude does not give a shit and it’s hilarious.

We all love the draft and the promise it brings.

But lets think business, and wins.

Some really great talent on the free agent market this year. Here’s a CBS sports top 50.

Who would you all love to have?

Love to keep?

Love to see go?

Stay away for Carr, he is staying with the Chiefs. You can have Dwayne Bowe so he can play shit in big games for big money.

No we are good at WR.

I just read the craziest rumor. The Jets have socked money away for a rainy day & are very much under the cap. The first name mentioned- Mario Williams! WTF, is he a free agent this yr? Hmmmm nice.

& Randy Moss coming out of retirement…How funny is that!

He’s probably broke like TO.

Looks like Wallace might be gonzo. FML if he ends up in Baltimore.

Ravens are going to either steal him or drive up the price if you want to keep him.

Life in the NFL now.

Steelers won’t pay more than they think he’s worth. I’d value him around $6-7 million. He will get bigger offers.

Brown is the better receiver. He’s Hines with better physical tools.

I’m more worried about Cincy getting him, they have boatloads of cash they have to spend, something like sixty mill under the cap.

If the Ravens got him it would be worse, much worse, sickening in fact.

I think Pittsburgh matches whatever comes and keeps him. Whether it’s the right move who the fuck knows, I want him to stay.

Hope he signs w/the Jets. Peyton is gonna need a big receiver.
